I really look forward to the new future pack and i see alot of nice changes to all the classes.!

I have a heart for the Ranger class because i think it has epic abilities for my taste.!

There is one thing I would really enjoy to see in future updates I dunno where to post this elsewhere so I hope u hear my shout here :O
To give ranger a even better playstyle/buildstyle (main hand sword should be able to dodge using skill 1 and offhand axe spin skill 5 should e moveable just like warriors axe spin also skill 5)
I love ranger, actually it’s the proffesion I enjoyed the most of all my characters and tried all except engineer. In PVE I really enjoyed running sword/axe – longbow build, epic for a rapid fight and it actually works great for PvE except when there’s a Zerg of mobs and u don’t have the opputunity to dodge in the middle of skill 1 sword or move skill 5 axe. :‘(
I feel that these to weapons is perfect match for a Hunter aka Ranger..

So I got to lvl 80 and wanted to engage in the fights of the mists (WvW) and I was so sad because my first fight with sword/axe failed epically I couldn’t dodge when using skill 1 and when I try to move in a spin I disable the skill but still need for full cd, for some time I wondered why u made it this way but I had hope that I one day could tell u A-Net about this and maybe get u to fix it…. Pweeeez (^-^)

ATM I run GS – L Bow and I have no problems with any of the mechanics of these 2 weapons
I like GS and L Bow is just epic especially when we get this new trait it will be even better in WvW. But..!
I still have in my bag a sword and a axe for the day when u fix these minor problems to fix but big problem to play with imagine how epic a Zerg fight in WvW would be if u could jump around like a swift Ranger and slice ur enemies and poison them with the sting of a snake while they silently bleed to death
A-NET I have faith in you
You’ve given us such a great game and still u are fine tuning it to the users needs i ty for all of it and i thank u in advance for listening to a humble players request

Skills are meant to be different. You can’t move during Whirling Defenses, but you reflect projectiles instead.

Yes i know skills shouldnt be the same but i was meant to just reffere to the warrior skill.. but this is also my second wish, definately the sword skill 1 has the highest impact on the game as it removes your ability to dodge when a mob or other player land a high dmg hit..

Not a good idea to make Whirling Defense mobile – it’s already plenty powerful as it is.

Warrior’s Whirling Axe has a smaller attack radius (50 units difference, so not that significant), and Whirling Defense also slaps down both Retaliation and 12 stacks of Vulnerability for 10 seconds in addition to the missile reflect as Bargaw said. I definitely don’t want WD to gain mobility but lose the other stuff.

Just activate it after dodging/moving into a group of enemies (or use Path of Scars to pull them). If you want to mitigate damage from being in the middle of mobs, drop Healing Spring just before Whirling Defense. Water field & Whirl finisher = Healing Bolts.

Ranger’s sword is what it is. You have to learn when to trigger the evades to avoid hopping around like a cat on a hot tin roof (or disable auto attack until you get used to it).

U can“t compare Warror Axe 5 to ranger Axe 5. Warrior A5 is pretty useless in all gamemodes.
Ranger A5 should be ground targeting, Roll to the target to protect an allie. But still not useable while moving.
