Seeing as how the majority of the competitive players in GW2 complain that condition builds are so much easier than power builds.

Just wondering what kind of sample you used to come to that conclusion and where you found this “majority of competitive players”.

Also:

bandwagon fallacy: concluding that an idea has merit simply because many people believe it or practice it. Simply because many people may believe something says nothing about the fact of that something. For example many people during the Black plague believed that demons caused disease. The number of believers say nothing at all about the cause of disease.

me and bhawb tend to disagree so much on so many things regarding necro and what not , and me looking at this topic and what he just said could not make me agree more with his statement which i find very very odd .

but it is true , the problem is not condition duration , the problem is condition clearing .
you have so many things in the game that remove conditions that keeping them on a player is not possible for it’s full duration . you have runes , sigils , skills and traits that do all of this . by the time a you apply 6 stacks of bleed which in some cases should do in my case for 1000 damage it is not only nullified by health regen but cut short 2 or 3 seconds in and me as the condi necro have to wait on the cooldowns while burst can simply hit for a harder base , the only legit counter for burst is blinds . where as condi counters are plenty

This really isn’t an issue as much since there are so many ways to remove conditions now, and you can’t really burst with conditions like you can with power setups. It’s true that conditions outshine power builds in sustained fights and bunker-ish roles, but that’s a completely different playing style from the berserker hit-and-run gameplay.

Of course, that’s just my own opinion, but even I’ve reverted back to berserker/hybrid setups on my characters because of how unreliable conditions can be if you’re fighting someone who came prepared with plenty of condition removal/immunity. Not to mention that in PVE conditions are practically worthless.

They need 3 stats(2 if your class has enough HP) because you have to stack and keep reapplying conditions. I don’t see the passive or only 1 stat needed in conditions builds. You do know power builds use conditions as well right?
