Rune revamp Hopeful
If any set gives that much boon duration, it’s time to just remove runes. :S
There’s actually some pretty clear patterns to how they are rearranging the former (2) bonuses. You’re not going to see boon duration on every step – that’s just a given. On the set they decide will be the go-to Rune for boon durration you will almost certainly see~
(1) 25 of a stat
(2) +5% boon duration.
(3) 50 of a stat
(4) +10% boon duration and another benefit.
(5) 100 of a stat
(6) +15% boon duration and another benefit.

I hope they do not forget about Superior Rune of the Sunless. Tequila sunrise is crying over his horrible rune.
I believe they’ll have a “boon duration” set, although I doubt they’ll have something that gives +45% general boon duration. That could easily invalidate boon-specific runes like runes of Dwayna or runes of strength. Very lackluster to get +45% might duration when you can get +45% general boon duration.
I also don’t feel they’ll give it to the runes of the water, but we’ll have to see. I’m a little worried at what they might do to rune of the water as I have an engineer build that is really reliant on the current functionality.
A general boon duration rune set would probably be in the realm of a 25-30% bonus instead of a 45% bonus, unless perhaps the boon duration runes had absolutely no secondary benefits aside from boon duration (and maybe some stats or something).
We’ve seen the new Rune of Strength (+45% might duration) and with the glimpse of the Rune of the Monk we know that general boon duration runs as I described above at least for the (2) and (4) set bonuses. The (6) could be 20% but it’s far more likely that under the new paradigm 30% boon duration for a full set is where its at (and no amount of mixing and matching will come close).

I’m really really hoping that those runes will do something like:
- +25 Power
- -5% damage taken from world bosses or dungeon bosses.
- +50 Power
- When downed during a world boss encounter, gain +20% healing received for 5 seconds.
- +100 Power
- +5% damage done during world boss encounters and against dungeon bosses.
Basically, a boss-event focused runeset.
I only hope they won’t remove the 25% movement speed from Traveler and Speed. Reason I’m worried is that for instance Monk seemed to have their original 6th effect replaced by something else entirely (10% Heal Effectiveness instead of AoE Aegis on Elite use).
