Sigil of Nullification
Trixxi Is Cute – Purple Fhaz: your daily roamer
This sigil is debatable anyway, there are professions / builds that don’t have many sources for boons which makes this Sigil very storng agains them.
And then we have professions like ele who get a boon nearly every second, which makes this sigil absolutely stupid.
If it would remove the 25stacks of might , its gamechangeing, if it however only removes that 5sec swiftness its nearly useless.
I feel like a sigil that single handedly hard counters any class relying on boons would be a very bad idea. If it prioritized might, it would probably be the death of might stacking in PvP and pretty much hard counter any class that utilizes might often, especially eles.
Sigils and Runes are too strong as it is IMO. The idea is good, but we really don’t need any more focus on our gear. Differentiate the classes more, give 3-4 classes the ability to hard-counter boon spam (and probably the other 4-5 the ability to hard-counter condition spam).

^This. It’s what I’ve been saying constantly as well. There is way too much gear focus in the game, and sigils/runes dominate the game too much. It should be more about skills and traits.

Yeah but right now no one is using this sigil, and taking it means that you lose important things.
Furthermore, Might Stacking (warriors and eles) is already game changing because of the amount of damage that these classes can do despite being extremely resilient. Taking this sigil means that you can counter these specs a little better, but even with this, they can easily maintain 7-10 might Stacks.

It seems fairly reasonable to me, due to the fact that we have a sigil that stacks might.
As might (and some other boons for that matter) have become an isue for some, because it can be stacks easily and to a large extent, it seems reasonable to have a sigil of this nature.

The sigil grants might, but is not responsible for all might. If it did prioritize might and steal stacks of it, it would have to be limited to say 5 stacks. Otherwise, say an ele uses up all their blast finishers and attunement swaps to build up 20 might. Most damage skills are ready to be used now that might has been stacked properly. Then, they opponent switches weapons and does a single autoattack, stealing all 20 of those stacks. The ele now has no way to get might as everything is on cd and the opponent now has huge damage potential. This sigil would range from useless( such as against classes like thieves who can gain 1 or 2 stacks of Might for a long time just by walking around and dodging) to class breaking for others. If it were made to prioritize might, it should also be made to have a stack limit that can be stolen.
Stacking might is active play, sigils are passive play. Active play should be able to counter passive play, not be totally destroyed by it.
I didn’t mean to imply that I support the idea that it prioritized might. I was simply suggesting that it removes all of what ever boon it does remove, when it removes them.

Ahh ok. Yeah, it would need to be one or the other. Both at the same time would completely destroy boon stacking classes or burst classes that rely on short term might.
This sigil REMOVES a boon: it does not STEAL it.
Also, this would put some counterplay to Eles and Warriors, whose damage potential is too high atm, and a lot of people agree with me on this.
Also, try thinking about WHICH classes could sacrifice a sigil for this role.
Will it be thieves? Then they will gain 1v1 potential but will lose burst (from Fire/Air).
Will it be Mesmers? Unlikely, as they already have enough boon stripping already, and are the only class that can reliably keep a Warrior/Ele out of Might.
Will it be Warriors? Unlikely, as the combination of Intelligence+Energy/Leching+Doom+Battle is dominant around the meta.
Guardians? Meh
Necros? Maybe condi necros could get a use of this
Engis? Don’t think so.
Other Eles? Nope.
