Signet of Vampirism
Well this skill is probably the worst skill ever…
It looks like a necro skill, but it´s not.
How does the necromancer survive in Battle:
- High Health Bar
- Death Shroud
- Siphon Life
- Weaking of the enemy by:
– reducing their healing capability (posion)
– reducing of their movementspeed (cripple and freeze)
– increasing their cooldowns (freezing)
– converting boons into corruption / or simple removing them
– blinding foes.
– reducing their critical strike chance and endurance regeneration (weakness)
- Various Control effects (fear, daze, Knockdown , pull)
- reducing Damage by various skills granting protection.
- Regenaration boon
Review:
—> Reducing the enemy´s capability to deal damage and to heal. (freeze, fear, pull, weakness, posion, removing of boons, blinding)
—> Damaging the enemy to survive the Battle for a longer time.
Signet of Vampirism Passive Effect:
= grants health, when getting physical damage (because it don´t have any effect against conditions).
So the Signet practically reduces physical damage -> it is like Thoughness.
The difference is that it reduces the damage by a fixed amount (and not a percent number) and only once per secound.
--> The passive effect is like thoughness but weaker.
—> U can not compare it with the signet of the warrior.
—> The mechanic of the Signet don´t fit the necromancer at all – it is a new mechanic for the class.
Signet of Vampirism Active Effect:
It´s a typical necromancer mechanic: “Siphon health by hitting the enemy.”
Nothing new but special for the necromancer.
Review:
The passive effect is a totally new way (mechanism) of the necromancer to survive in Battle. It practially reduces the damage done.
Or u could say it is like protection and the necro already have some skills that grants him protection.
That would be right, but it has nothing to do with the necromancers unique survival ability. And it simply doesn´t fit with the rest of the skills (try it out in pvp and u will see ).
= The Passive Effect have to be revised.
Suggestions:
1. Change it so it works even while in death shroud – that way it would at least fit in a little bit better with the other skills.
or
2. Let it siphon Health whenever the necro hits a foe – but keep the cooldown.
