Currently this Asura elite seems to somehow have inherented quite a boost from the latest patch.
One of its abilities, Gatling Fist is capable of delivering in the excess of 60k damage over the course of the channel, on other players. Critting for well over 5k per individual hit, and attacking 12x in rapid succession. Naturally, most players who eat this ability dont even live to see the end of it.

It also does well over 12k damage to gates, but with a longer cooldown, its still getting close to rivalling superior rams on an non-mastery user. But mobile, with no supply cost.

With the tournament starting soon, this is something that needs to be hotfixed asap. Or you will see nothing but asura running around before the weekend is over, rushing through keeps without even the need for siege.

I thought something was weird, I had never seen this elite much before the feature patch. First time I saw it was when I was defending a tower, went to the edge to try and harass the zerg with my grenades, and next thing I knew, I was down. I thought it was just a burst combo from the enemy.

Second time was today while chasing a guardian, he dropped it, I thought nothing of it because I had full health, next thing I knew I was downed.

I’ll have to give that a go. Necro’ damage is pretty unremarkable so it’d be nice to have a surprise up one’s sleeve every 3 minutes.

Would make a nice change from getting 12k Eviscerated (on 2600 armor), followed by triple & double chops to the tune of 15k total; death (in seconds) while waiting my heal to go off.

Holy….6,000 per hit?! That’s insane! Chalk another up for the list of things ANet needs to address in this patch. Seriously, did the last feature patch have this many bugs?

Good god, I hope this is fixed ASAP. This is so broken for WvW, and the tournament starts tomorrow…I’m guessing we won’t see a fix until next week, though. Prepare your bodies, WvWers. :\

You’re very lucky – I’m getting 4k-4.7k crits. That’s when it actually hits anyone and doesn’t just float straight passed them.

Heard about this bug then tested it in action.

All I can say is holy mother of god the golem kicks kitten now.

Really hope they fix it before tourny starts otherwise we will see hundreds of them being popped at once all the time.

I know the servers that my server tends to be put up against will use any trick they can to win including wall glitching, zoom glitching etc… so abusing this by the hundreds won’t even make them think twice.

Seems to be a universal bug for all golems that use that skill or at least it has also affected the ones in the thaumanova fractal so probably many others.

Looks to be on of those “off by one zero” bugs that qualify for a hotfix.

One or two yah.

Reminds me of the Mesmer “descent into madness” trait bug that creates a chaos storm on falling damage.

Instead of 300 or so damage per pulse it was doing 30,000 per pulse, lol. Lasted for a few hours before a patch came.

Yes, it can win 1v1s for you but it only stays for about 37 seconds (despite the 40 second description) and that is only if someone doesn’t sneeze on it. Mostly when I pulled it out, the enemy would just destroy it in a couple seconds before it could butcher them.

As an update- we’ve resolved the issue with the Golems doing massive damage to gates in today’s patch, and we’ve got a fix for the damage multiplier issue (affecting players) going out on Monday.
