Temporal Curtain stacking
yeah this has never made sense to me. i doubt there would be any drawbacks to making the swiftness stack.
i think this is a bug, and should be fixed.
it has been 2 years.
sadly that is working as intended
running back and forth through a wall to stack swiftness for some reason isn’t the same as standing in a symbol
however if they change this skill they will probably will have to do the same to spectral wall or maybe that is their thoughts
It’s either that or a lower swiftness duration.

Spectral wall also doesn’t allow you to run back and forth through it to stack it’s boon. Not sure if it stacks with other sources of protection, though.
But that’s why it works that way, so you can’t just stack obscene amounts of a boon.
Just make it give like 5 seconds of superspeed if you already have swiftness. =P

Just seems like a really lazy implementation. Surely it would be possible to give it an internal cooldown to circumvent this problem.
Yeah, ANet fixed an abuse of super-stacking swiftness on Temporal Curtain. Would have fixed mesmer mobility people complain about, but… y’know, it’s not supposed to be one of our strengths. Still, I’d prefer something like a “1-per-person” kind of fix.
If its non stacking feature is to never be changed, Anet should at least update the tooltip to say it does not provide swiftness if you already have it.
This is an actual source of confusion for new players and should have been addressed along with the NPE.

…What?
The OP wants Temporal Curtain to stack with other applications of swiftness, not with itself. All other applications of swiftness stack with each other (not to say that they all stack with themselves), so why shouldn’t Temporal Curtain? As it stands now, Temporal Curtain can only stack with other sources of swiftness if it’s the first application; that just isn’t fair.
