now that mesmer has more torment, maybe it’s time for necromancer to get some more? you know, the class it was originally meant for? tainted shackles just doesn’t cut it.

True. It fits the necro very well and we should definitely have more of it. at least one torment-related trait.

They can take burning away for all i care, if they think that it would again be too much.

It wasn’t “meant” for Necromancer, it was first introduced on, and created using inspiration from, Necromancer. While I think torment could solve some issues, because right now Necromancers lack sustained pressure (and need nerfs to our random burst pressure), and if we want torment it should be addressed via that, not whining because someone else gets torment.

Devs don’t look at PU condi mesmer they look at PU trait(toughness+boon duration) so yeah the change on scepter is fine shatter conditions is now possible and scepter did feel like it needed improvement. Mesmer is 1v1 class I don’t see how this change improve team play significantly.

Can we all wait for next skill bar? Proposing anything now doesn’t change a thing now.

That said, the sceptre change may be OP, but it really needed a buff. The auto-attack is nearly as bad as elementalist’s dagger earth one.

The reason they picked torment was there was only three choices, confusion, torment or bleed, and confusion woulda kittened people off more. Torment and bleed were the only realistic options. And theres a ton of bleeding AA in this game already so I bet they just went with torment to mix it up a bit.

Torment on auto-attack isn’t a problem. Torment on Clones is. Removing the Torment from the first strike in the chain and increasing the duration on the second strike would be fine.
