Q:
Warriors "Kick" and "Throw Bolas"
A:
Neither are unviable, but neither are competitive.
Throw bolas is good for the immobilize→HB that you see once in a blue moon, and, since it’s a soft cc, is great for kiting melee bosses. A cooldown reduction wouldn’t hurt, but isn’t necessary.
Kick on the other hand could you a bit of help. It knocks back, which means it’s almost useless for melee users, and most groups will hate you if you kick mobs out of melee, even if you’re trying to keep them off you as a rifle/lb warrior (which is somewhat rare in pve). Changing it to a long daze or something similar would probably be the easiest way to help it, and if the cooldown was right, it might actually compete for a spot on a hambow warrior’s toolbar.
As it currently stands, physical utilities on a warrior all seem rather lackluster, though I think all classes have at least one skill line with that problem.
Thank you for the reply
but i still believe they need some kind of a change.
They remind me of engi gadgets.
I see kick as being viable in a distracting strikes build. Other than that though…?
Bolas is pretty good though, when it lands. Not just for setting up your own hundred blades, but for making a single target very vulnerable to group burst.
The depressing thing is with the current state of the forum and the rabbid “nerf this, nerf that” mob out in force. I actually thought that this thread was going to be screaming for nerfs to them.
Neither skill is really competitive, but that has a fair bit to do with the current meta making other options far more vital, as opposed to just the skills themselves being totally lacklustre.
