“This ability is unlocked when your character reaches level 7 for all professions except Engineers or elementalists, who use a similar mechanic.” – Weapon swap

As it is widely known after the April 15th patch, you would lose your stack of stats if you unequipped your sigil stacking weapon. I think this is a fair enough change.

But my problem is with the quote above. Engineers and elementalists are no longer able to maintain stacks because they do not have a second set of weapons to swap, hence the loss of 2 sigil slots for stacking.

All professions except engineers and elementalists are still able to stack without much hassle. I have seen others mentioning stacking with underwater weapons but I think that is a bit unfair for the 2 professions as the only way to do it.

I am not asking for a nerf or anything to the other professions, but instead if it could be possible to balance engineers and elementalists with a universal sigil slot(s) for kits and attunements.

Put one on your water weapon. Get an extra w/e weapon. Swap your w/e weapon and the water weapon will prevent your sigil stacks from dropping.

Hmm really? I never even thought of this.. that certainly makes things much easier lol. Though I particularly don’t want to go swimming every time I enter a new map just to get these stacks.

This seems like a workaround that will be fixed someday.
