Guild Wars 2

I have no idea what class to play in gw2.. I want to have a big dps class, fun and looks cool.
I thought about thief but this changed my mind with everybody said to delete the class: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/thief/Is-thief-ok-now/first#post4415410 I like pvping as much as i like pve. Thanks in advance!

Thief is a great class. I wouldn’t bother reading the forums about balance, very few people understand the game to great depth and will moan over the smallest of changes.

If you like the idea of thief, go for it!

You can literally create any class you want, hop in PvP, and have full access to weapons/traits. It’s a good idea to use different classes to get an idea how to play against them, improving your general knowledge of the game.

For PvE/WvW, you’ll want to chose a class and level it to 80. If you’re interested in dungeons, I’d consider playing an Ele (highest dps), a guardian (reflects/survivability/good dps) or a warrior (sustain/high dps). Necro and Rangers are generally thought of at the bottom of the dungeon list.

Yeah, the Greatsword. Gotta love them all. If I could I would buy some to put on my wall in my room, maybe when I get to work and get some money

there is no “special” race that one can reccomend.

In terms of “sexy/tough appearance” here is my personal list
Sexy Light/Medium – Human Female
Sexy Heavy – Norn Female
Tough looking Heavy – Charr Male, Norn Male
Tough looking medium – Human Male
Tough looking Light – Norn Female/Charr Female

You forgot about: master uber pro race: asura they look pretty epic/cute and they’re kind of unique race in my opinion. They are not sexy, that’s for sure, but every other race is just ‘normal’ for me. Maybe except charr – they look great in heavy/light armor.

Step 1. Don’t listen to what other people say. Play whatever class fits your play style. Every profession is good in it’s own way. You will always find people in any game who will talk trash about other classes because it isn’t something they like. Play around with the classes and see which is something you would like to do more. Check out YouTube video’s, etc.
