Guild Wars 2

Right now I’m playing as a ranger, as I always have since the first game. However, I’ve always heard that they just aren’t that great! So I’m planning on starting a new character, and I’d like something that, for lack of a better term, is better. Shows more improvement in attack and or defense than the ranger. Which classes would you guy’s suggest?

Warrior:
the best at low lvl
the best at mid lvl
the best at later lvl

I have heard a lot of good things about the warrior, but the one thing that’s kept me from it was a lot of people say it’s boring. Is that true? Or just something stubborn people say?

Warrior is a great all arround class;

You will fit every good party composition in Dungeons or Fractals;
You will have a easy and good time in WvW Zergs;
U do well in Solo PvP or Organized Teams;
U will room pretty well in WvW to cuz u have mobility and good 1v1 capabilities;

So in summary, warrior is a ok class at everything, while being great in some of them, not many flaws.

The Problem in my opinion:

No high skill roof (easy to pick up and play… and do well.);
Not a big skill rotation, weapon swaps are not really needed in most content from what i know (not sure on this tough);
Its faceroll ^^;

Warriors are boring. If you want something really entertaining play a elementalist, but be prepared for a challenge.

So! I’ve chosen to be an elementalist. Now, I’ve realized I can’t even choose which race to be! Which race would be the best? Opinions and facts are welcome. Thank you! Also, the only race I don’t want is the Asura. Everything else is fine.

For ele i would either go human, norn or charr.

Humans got some interesting stuff on their racial elite, such as Reaper of Grenth, which is simply amazing when using conjured weapons such as Conjure Ice Bow and Conjure Fiery Greatsword.

Norn has the best GTFO buttons ingame. Sure those elites are not very strong, but when in a tight spot, that jaguar form can stealth and let you dash 1600 units away while invisible. It is a very strong “get out of trouble” card.

Charr has a nice evade on a 15 second cooldown. It is by no means a super strong skill, but it comes in handy from time to time.

When it comes to which race has the sexiest armor; Humans wins hands down, followed by Norns and in last place – the furries.

Well as for races imho, as well as from what i read in many places already, racials are not up to class utilitys so it wont make a diference so id advice u to chose the one you enjoy the most (lookwise), wich in my opinion is by far the humans, both gender or norn female (light armor on huge male looks clumsy)….. if u dont pay attention to armor and like some nice emotes and fight movements why not give a shot to the small asuran also? enjoy ur ele…

Thanks guy’s! I ended up going with the Charr. The only thing I felt completely sure about was I don’t like them, so with that kind of solidarity, I figured why not! Thanks again though!
