Can you please revert the nerf’s to Elementalist Ride the Lightning… Every class now has more mobility than Elementalist (except necromancer).

Warrior GS alone #3 and #5. Low cooldowns
Mesmer Blink + Staff #2 Low cooldown
Ranger GS/S Low cooldowns
Guard Sword / Teleport
Thief Everything
Engi Rocket Boots (Low cooldown) / perma swiftness

Elementalist RtL 40 Second cooldown

The only way an Elementalist can outrun or catch anyone is by using FGS and it is on a 180 second cooldown.

RTL is needed because D/D ele is locked in melee.
Considering that paired with cloth+low HP and no defense mechanic, ele deserves the highest mobility amongst professions….

War, thieves outrageous movement is not required since they have access to 1500 range or stealth and 900….

Ele only chance of Killing something is via CC but stability and cond cleanse negates it easily….

GW2 balance:
A PvE player is supposed to avoid a 1-2 second 1 shotting aoe.
A WWW player is considered uncapable of avoiding a 5,75 second aoe for half his health.

All of this. This gives eles underlying problems. I can’t run from a group, but being so squishy I should be able to.

I have to leave a fight that stacks against me quicker than another class unless I bust FGS.

But balance wise I think it is abhorrent warriors have a cheaper RTL on that cooldown.

ele has great mobility, its just that most players are stuck playing ele as if it was the old DD who could both rush in and rush out. Gotta pick which of the two works better for you now. I don’t see why you would have to ‘outrun’ someone, and ele can run away from anyone but thief, got swiftness, got teleport, got invulnerability.

Please enlighten us! SHOW it….

To answer your easy question….
You need to outrun your target because you have LESS RANGE for example so need to stay melee range to have access to most of your skills.

Yes, many classes have better “movement skills”, but ele can give long chill, or stun\cc for every of this skills and run away.. may be run away

and i lied, i use earth shield and fire sword for “mobility”
