I feel like every class weapons abilities should have a morphing point. Lets say I want to be a necromancer and use dagger/dagger and want to do condition damage. There isn’t much condition damage on the main hand dagger. So when you get your trait system there should have a area to change the abilities of your weapons to edit them so they fit your playing style. A example of this would be change the weapons damage to be a percentage of condition damage. I know I hate having to use one weapon set just because I want to do burst damage. I really hope ArenaNet does something like this in the next expansion.

Wouldn’t it simply be easier to have each weapon have a set design for both direct damage builds, and one for condi damage builds, right from the get go?

Like how you can click on utilities and insert them into your skill bar, there should be different options for you weapon skills. Different skills (auto attack, burst, etc) could be added to the game regularly to help shift the meta. Skills would be locked into the bar so whirling wrath on guardian could only be swapped out with the new 2 skill to help maintain balance.

Easy enough to put utilities in, I don’t think new players would have too much of a hard time changing weapon skills either.
