A discount on the viscount
Hehe, the “s” is silent in viscount. It’s pronounced “vye – count” (rhymes with die + count).
It will probably get easier once it’s less zergy, right now it’s just impossible to see any red circles on the ground with 900 other people standing around. He drops some candy goo on the ground that makes you do more damage to him if you stand in it, but that is also impossible to see.
I had no idea that there was a) candy on the ground, and b) that standing on any enemy’s goo the ground could be anything but harmful.
The “s” in discount is silent too! “dye-count” :P
The boss just has too much health. He’s not hard at all, he’s just a complete bore to fight.
It would also help if killing him actually triggered the achievment as well.
When I first went in there the first small group ran into him and we wiped so much. One shot mechanics everywhere lol. Then we found out that the good old technique of everyone stacking in his melee range is helpful. Even more so when hes against a wall.
But he does have way too much freaking health. :/
Finally a nerf the candy thread. The GW2 community did not disappoint.
I want it to make sense right away, then another sense later. Murkiness =/= quality "

It’s too sweet!
I would agree more rewards but do not nerf. Hes been wiping people and the fact he takes so long the Chainsaw Horror comes by and makes it more fun!

A lot more damage. My normal attacks without being candy coated was in the 200-300. While candy coated I was able to crit for 4k+. My Power is ~2k and crit damage is 26% so it looks like the multiplier is 10, might depend on the number of stacks of candy coated you have.
More importantly the goo makes you candy coated which will bounce his projectiles back to him. Alternatively bring enough mesmers and guardians and you won’t have to care ….
Yes everyone change their build just for one boss! Great.
You mean my strategy of pulling out a ranged weapon to auto attack the candy man simultaneously tabbing out to watch a movie is flawed?
I know the solution! Give him a two minute timer! Timers make everything more fun! If something is a boring and tedious encounter, all you need to do is double it’s HP, making the encounter even more boring and tedious, and then slap a timer on it, which suddenly makes it the most fun thing ever! I’m sure that explains why the number of people bothering with World Events on my server has jumped by -50%.
you spend complaining about it on the forums, you’d be
done by now.”
Fighting this guy is pretty much a 2013 watching paint dry simulator.
