Are Mad King chests returning?
I want to know this too!!
I suppose they could still appear in the 2nd update, but I doubt it.
The Mad King chests were added primarily due to the bad reception to the RNG skins and people buying hundreds of chests and getting nothing. To give a “second chance” at a skin to people who had a lot of BLC stuff.
Now that they’ve adopted the ticket scrap model and seem to be perfectly happy with it, they probably don’t feel any need to give people more chances.
This is the only reason I’ve saved all those kill streak xp boosters and have two stacks of mystery tonics. I don’t use them and would love to make more halloween chests! Give me a chance at the recipes and maybe a BL weapon ticket….or something. Maybe the mini
The Mad King chests were a special case item, so I doubt they’ll be back. They were added to try to appease the players that didn’t get anything from the BLTCs.

I also think part of the reason they were implemented last year was for a way for people to use up the tons of candy corn they’d accumulated from the candy corn nodes, t or t bags, etc. But, given the amount of candy corn needed for the mini, the pail, and the recipes, I don’t see there being much of a possibility of players wandering around with mad stacks of candy corn and nothing to do with them …

That doesn’t make any sense since the recipe only called for a single piece of candy corn. o.O not much getting used there.
I’d still like some form of this to return.
