Change to the Clocktower; no parties allowed.
There really needs to be a system so friends can play together in these activities. I’m willing to play in a scrimmage mode with no rewards at all just so my guild can play together in clock tower, keg brawl, sanctum sprint, etc. I can provide the rewards, we just want to play against each other.
Clock Tower is also unique in that there’s no real way to "game’ the system like you could in other activities, if that’s a concern. If you don’t race to the end, you’re not going to make it period.
It’s possibly the one thing that frustrates me about this game at all.

There also needs to be a better way to watch other players play if you fail instead of sitting there twiddling your thumbs.
This game really doesn’t like communities lol.
Is it pvp? I didn’t see anything I could do to others, they just have red names and PvP armor on.
I think the primary reason they made it PVP was to make all PVE speed boosts and such not work.
Yeah boosts are disabled as soon as you enter pvp. That’s the reason. They don’t want people using the speed boost.
I would at least have liked to see the scoring mechanism tied to your progress on the tower rather than being completely meaningless. Other than that, I’m guessing this was done to facilitate the ‘mist forms’ of all ‘enemy’ players, which has definitely improved visibility, so I can’t complain there,
Wouldn’t class traits still work then?
Please give us a keyring…

Right on the money, it’s so frustrating not being able to play great mini-games with one another without finding some back-handed way of doing so. Like in Scantum Sprint me and my friends used to try and sync-join into a race, wich of course didnt work half of the time and was just a troublesome “fix” for something that, from a non-proffesional standpoint, doesnt seem to hard to implement.
I waited so long for a round that I got the AFK warning.
Edit: Just got into 5 clocktower “matches” in a row where it was in the final “wait for the score” stage.

Computer Programming 101: Don’t write new code when you can copy old code. Even when the old code doesn’t really fit your current task.
Honestly, they should just make use of Town Clothes in these modes. At the moment Town Clothes are rather useless and never used in anything.
I don’t get where all this “frustration” is coming from. I ran it for maybe 45 mins, and didn’t feel frustrated. I actually laughed pretty hard when I died some of the time. Maybe I didn’t play it long enough but I actually enjoyed it.

The frustration on my part comes mainly from the fact that they actually chaned this so that it’s now near impossible to run it with friends, Last years Halloween the clocktower acted like many other explorable zone, with overflows that you could leave or join at a whim and play with friends.
All the power to you if you have fun on your own, but i preffer to do these little events with friends and guildies, and allot of these small-time events dont have propper party
EDIT: i suppose to me it just seems a bit counterintuitive that this happens in an MMO.

Make Clock Tower allow parties; enter as a party, all five players in your party (including you) placed against each other. Whisps + still having party members = profit. But… I don’t think that’ll happen…

I also think it might be the down-time between attempts. JPs like this are something where you really need to build muscle memory – and sitting around for 3-4 minutes gets in the way of that.
