Charr witch armor preview
You can preview dye colors by right-clicking on them in your inventory, as chat codes, or on the trading post. Using the chat codes for the witch outfit, you should be able to change the dye colors in of the preview window.
Should be easy to preview basically any armor in any combination of colors this way, and it’s something I do fairly often. Let me know if you can’t get it working and I’ll explain in more detail.
He’s talking about previewing dyes on an outfit he doesn’t have yet.

Because we can’t be angry about both?
@Guhracie: what Redenaz meant is look up the codes for both the witch’s outfit and the dyes i would like to use and preview both
@Redenaz: thank you very much that method works quite well. a bit clunky, but that’s more on issue of how previewing works to begin with.
Redenaz (is) right, Guhracie. I learned this a month or two ago. You can preview an outfit even if you don’t have it, bring up the TP (or dyes you have not used yet in inventory), and preview the dyes on that outfit. You can even right click on individual armor items or dyes in the preview window to un-preview them without fully resetting the image.
That’s great for figuring out dye channels and for mix and matching different parts of armor off the TP.
edit: I have no idea why it kittened the “is” after the poster’s name.
Edit edit: actually I do. It read it as an abhorrent political party of the 1930’s and 1940’s.
Oh! I’ve been wondering myself for a while now why my name occasionally gets auto-censored. Mystery solved!
Oh, hey. Thanks. I had no idea you could even do that.

Yeah the functionality is a bit clunky. I hope someday they decide to revamp that; would think it would be higher priority in a game where the emphasis was on visual progression not statistical.
I’d like to be able to preview with dyes I have unlocked, come to think of it. That would save time and effort as right now I have to find the dye on the TP because the only preview of known dyes is by applying them in the hero panel on the current gear.

The priority WAS visual not statistical. Then they included ascended gear…
