Three times in a row now I’ve made the last jump into the clock face (yes, after the lightning) and it’s not counted as a success.

I know how to make this jump – I’ve done it successfully half a dozen times.

I think the window that it considers “successful” needs to be tweaked a bit, because I cannot express how frustrating this is for me. I just want my daily shards and I’ve now wasted over half an hour.

Plz consider for next year, thx. :’(

PS – the 2-3 wasted minutes at the end of a “round” are incredibly irritating when I just want to get back into the puzzle. I don’t remember this happening last year (though maybe this is just bad memory).

There’s a bug where the animations aren’t synchronized and occur 1-2 seconds before they should. When this happens, you will notice a pause in the animation of the gears that form platforms at both the start, where everyone waits, and at the end, after the fall where the chest is. If you notice this animation glitch, you’re bugged and can either leave the instance to fix it or try to work through it. To jump through the window, you have to wait for the clock face to pass and then jump, as if the clock face was actually on the next side of the tower.

If you’re just experiencing lag however, you need to jump a second early.

This didn’t happen last year because it wasn’t a PvP activity last year. There weren’t any rounds, it just continued. I’m guessing they made it a PvP activity to be able to disable any passives, such as speed buffs. If it’s under about 1.5 mins at the end, it just ticks down because I guess there isn’t enough time to get to the top again.

If you’re eager to get back in and don’t care about activity credit, then you can leave the instance and enter a new one.

Yep, that’s exactly what I did. Also I’ve done the whole puzzle as my character was glitched lying down on his face, it’s quite hilarious. And I’ve also once ended up out in the water and was able to see other players in the lobby waiting for the clocktower to start. They were able to see my chat bubbles and I saw theirs lol Wish I could of recorded it, it was so funny.
