Mad Clock Tower?
I’ve seen occasional complaints about getting killed at the start, or about having difficulty getting through the face of the clocktower, but I’ve never had an ounce of trouble with either, despite how many times I’ve run the tower. Is it possible lag, either with your machine or on your network connection, is the culprit?
I’ve never had any problems with the Clock Tower and I probably do it at least once a day just for fun. But I have seen the hands grab after me even if I’m not even close to the green fog, but I’ve never “failed” the jumping puzzle from it so I’ve just thought it was a visual bug.
I’ve noticed a few times I died when I didn’t seem to be anywhere near the green mist and didn’t fall off a platform. I haven’t reported it as a bug though because I couldn’t be entirely sure what happened. In the end I just put it down to a lag spike.

I’ve experienced several loading screen deaths, and also the jumping into the clock-face bug. I’ve also had a case where I fell straight through the collision of the debris that appears after dropping to the chest. A clear case of latency issues: I saw the debris move into position, but their collision had not been activated yet.

I wasnt able to even start the tower… I’m climbing the initial stairs and BOOM ported back like if I’m dead…
happens everytime. I think is lag related (and missplacement in the world)
It isn’t just you, OP. It has happened to me a few times. Twice tonight, in fact.
Once near the start – I didn’t even get to the waiting platform. Once when I took that long jump down. I didn’t miss a jump or get in the mist of doom either time. I just suddenly got the loading screen and was back in the lobby.
The second time tonight, I ended up in a permanent face plant, which at least was entertaining for all and sundry.

Well idk about anyone else, but I’m suddenly having trouble with the jump-into-the-clock-face after having not had any.
~40 completions of clock tower prior to todays update, never had trouble with this jump
10 times attempted this jump since today’s update, all of which failed at the clock face
I’m noticing a pattern- that kind of consistency rarely exists in data
