Out of curiosity?
Haven’t played long so I can’t really tell.. =)

Well, it’s hard to say, since we haven’t gotten a good look at it yet. It looks similar to the gem store masks in basic geometry, but with a unique texture on it. We’ll be able to tell better once we can get our hands on it at Halloween.
While in some ways it’s similar to masks already present, it seems culturally distinctly different to me, to be honest. To me, it’s more close to a mask someone might actually wear IRL, or at least during the Rennaissance. Most of the other masks (even the masquerade looking ones) don’t look to me like masks people would actually wear even to a masquerade ball.
That’s not to say the others look crappy, just that they’re…I dunno…Both unique and very over the top, usually? They’re neat but I’m a fan of subtlety and do actually like the new mask, whereas I don’t really like the others.
Thanks for the replies, both of you! Excited to get it.
I agree with you Ezekiel. I like this mask aswell. It will look sweet on my character! =D
Makes me think of the masquerade ball in Van Helsing.. x)
So, uh, people actually like masquerade masks as a look?
I’m honestly shocked.
Here I am thinking it is by far the laziest possible skin you could design.
To each his own.. I’m sure they could’ve devised something more intricate of course, but I’ll take what I get! =)

Um, I don’t think you have an accurate account of Renaissance Italy if you think the current masks in game bear no resemblance to historical masquerade masks:

But yes, I agree that the new Mask of the Night is the best looking one yet as I favor simplicity and sleekness.
