Hey is Mesmer screwed on Beaten Bloody achievement? My phantasms don’t deal damage to the Bloody Prince because they are not on the candy coat. Of course, I could lure the Prince to the slop, but that takes time, and there’s a 1 minute limit. Which leaves me ranging with the auto-attack…

What obvious tactic am I missing?

do this with a party, you’ll have an easier time.

Obvious tactic numero uno: Party

Hm?
I am quite sure my clones and Phantasms did do damage to him as long as I was in the candy coat when I used them.
Might be wrong though.

But yes, party helps since the instance doesn’t scale.

Going in group tactic is the simplest of the ones you are missing.

Needn’t even be a full group. We did it with an Ele, Engi, Ranger and Thief, and came close a number of times without the Thief too. You just need to stand on the candy corn sludge as soon as you can.

Glaze, not sludge. And I don’t remember the party formation I was in, but there were only three of us, and we didn’t know each other or discuss any plans, and we still took him down in under a minute.

Dungeon didn’t scale by party members number. In party he will die in half of second (literally)

That’s one of the reasons I’ve stopped playing mesmer as my main character. It’s extremely inept in many situations.

You need to be lucky to solo that achievement anyway.

I only recently got a Mes to 80. However, in a group and throwing Time Warp down seems like they get selected rather quickly to do this exact thing.

Also, no-one complained when it was found that Mesmer Phantasms were really really helpful in beating Liadri. :P

However you look at the thing, just join a group. Plenty going and it’ll be easier.

Go melee only. I went with Sword/Focus and Sceptor/Sword. That with your time warp should be enough (as long as you stand in the candy goop).

it seemed to me that shattering hurt the prince when I did this ach… I guess it depends on how you use your clones.

Do the achievement in any combination other than solo and you will find it significantly easier.
