I’m a biologist who for whatever reason adores taxonomy. Last week I did the Karka Queen event and looted an Arthropoda. I forgot the bow even existed and cracked up, of course telling my poor boyfriend who has to hear this crap all the time, “Oh that’s cool they named this after this phylum etc etc…” And then, when checking around the trading post, see the short-bow ‘Crustacea’, I told him I thought it was clever in the way they named the longbow vs the short-bow.
So, upon checking the new information today and I see Chiroptophobia (from Chiroptera – order bats belong to) and Araneae (order spiders belong to)? Love it! Was just curious who has been using taxonomy to name weapons?! :P
