Plz help! I used my Gift of Candy Corn in Lion’s Arch and it disappeared from my bags so I went to the home instance (I’m a Charr so the instanced area in Black Citadel from what I understand) and now now I can’t find the node (I don’t really know where I’m supposed to look for it in there so any help with that is apprieciated). Please don’t tell me that I screwed up and was suppose to go there first THEN use it. If that’s so is there a way I can get a new one or am I just plain out of luck? Thanks for ANY help.

It doesn’t matter when you use it. It will create a candycorn node in your home instance. Are you sure you’re really in your home instance?

I’m not quite sure. What is a “home instance” anyways. I thought it was the instanced area of your race’s capital city isn’kitten I’m a charr so that should be the instanced area right before the exit from Black Citadel.

Thx all I did find it. i was expecting a mining node to appear on the map but there wasn’t. The node is near where you come into the instanced area. I was looking to far in the area. Thanks again.

Just a side note. It’s not just your home instance, but all the home instances will have this node for you.

But you can only use it once in one instance for the day. So don’t be surprised if you go to one of the others and there’s nothing there.

Oh yes. It still is only once per day, but if you are a Charr you don’t NEED to go to the Black Citadel to do it. If you happen to be in another starting city, you can just access the node there.

I don’t have the quartz node, so can someone confirm whether only the character that consumes the item gets access to the candy corn node or do alts also have access? Thanks.

All your alt’s have access too those nodes, it is account wide. But still you can use it only once a day. So you don’t need to remember which character reach access to those nodes.

It does not create a node in your home instance

It creates one on each home instance, account wide. All characters can visit them all regardless of their origin. They all share the same node flag, though, so you can only harvest one of each type once a day.

Because of the proximity of a place of power skill point, plus faster loading screens that come with the simpler snowy areas in the Shiverpeaks, Hoelbrak is the fastest city to gather the home nodes, and then go make a charged crystal in the place of power.

Not only can any of your alts access it, so can any of your friends that join you in your instance, even if they haven’t created a node for themselves. At least, the quartz works that way. I haven’t quite got my meta achieve yet for candy corn so I can’t test it.
