(I haven’t posted a picture on the forum before so I’m not sure I’m doing it right. I’ve put it as an attachment.)

I find it amusing the amount of griping about the lack of rewards in GW2 content.

Those people either (A) never played GW1, or (B) have forgotten that the vast majority of “rewards” for content completion in GW1 was cosmetic at best, if not outright garbage.

Presumably it’s Thorn’s remains (Or would be my go to knowing the lore) But given the new doors and the Bloody Prince (Which I pray is not Oswald with body) could be anything.

(B) Those are the best rewards If only GW2 had stayed true.

GW1 also didn’t have a lot of gold sinks except titles pretty much, and what’s wrong with cosmetic rewards?

There are many other threads that discuss skins and gw2 vs gw1. I’m kind of curious what everybody thinks this box has in it.

Based on the size of the candy corn, I would lean towards small-medium coffin. It could be a huge treasure box I suppose. I like the coffin idea better. Not sure I would eat candy corn out of it xD

In the latest screen shot (the one of the figure with red staff) It looks like a door of coffin upright behind him. Looks just like the “box”

Who here completely neglected that it has at least 2 showing locks (left side and front) with an assumed 1 more on the right?

This is clearly a box that is meant to hold something in, and I doubt it’s shiny treasures.

Who here recalls Hellraiser? Box + chains = BAD!

Think about it…..

Chains: hold something in the box
creeping shadows: something from the mysts
spikes: ominous deadly thing inside
skull like art with power elementalist gems: undead ele inside!
and the odd candy corn… great, it feeds on candy and children’s nightmares!

Mad King’s Curse: For every stack of Defiant an appropriately scaled duplicate is summoned to torment players for the Mad Kings enjoyment.

Whats in the Box? Maybe it’s all the player’s legitimate threads that got deleted by the devs because they didn’t want to hear the truth!

Every character with superior health runes, all weaponsets, all useful skills?
Okay. I guess I did something wrong because I played with a major health rune on my main character up until nightfall iirc.

I agree the box looks kinda a chained coffin<! Some one or “something” very evil or twisted must be inside, or the chains would not make any sense!

No we’ve just played other non-stingy game titles where you actually get rewarded for your time and then log into GW2 and wonder where it all went wrong in their design.

I’d say OP that it’s another box with a ticket for another box! Or better yet, 5 more pieces of a key so you can open another box to find another box inside full of keys.

I’m gonna guess its an gemstore RNG box (cash box, like the southsun ones), where all we get is a bunch of candy corn and some boosters (with a very very very small chance to get either a Halloween weapon skin or some other kind of skin).

I’m guessing someone is trying to reincarnate the Mad King or it is a crazy follower/copycat type of thing. Can’t wait since GW1 it has always been my favorite event.
