When exactly is the update going to hit?

I want the time down to the nano second.

Tomorrow, when it is ready.

I would not think it productive to ask when exactly the event starts, no one knows.

Arena Net have never told us the precise time before, it is doubtful that this will change any time soon. Also no game release or update ever runs smoothly, so I would not suggest you sit with bated breath.

Think I usually get them around 12:00 PM server time, give or take an hour or two. There’s never any definite, to-the-hour schedule for release times, but they’re usually during “work hours,” as opposed to primetime or midnight before, or anything like that.

It’s usually in the prime time in europe, when people get back home from work/school.

It’s more of a window than a precise time. Heck, sometimes they’re even early — the head start began three hours before it was promised! And they alerted us that might happen, so we could be ready. Man was I happy to get it at midnight instead of 3 am my time …

Anyway, most every patch comes out some time between 1 pm eastern and 5 pm eastern. Sometimes they announce a delay, sometimes you just have to keep trying. They’ve never not delivered it at all, though. So it’ll come.

giving us a couple of days in advance wouldn’t hurt. Springing the hour of release the DAY its coming out is kind of absurd right?

The update is launching in 15th October. Simple as that my friend.

Last year there was a specific, one-off event for people to be there for, so they kinda had to provide a time so that people could, well, be there. I think they’ve been persuaded that stuff like that isn’t such a good idea, though.

They get to work in the morning and probably do a last check to see if everything is all right with the patch. If they find something, they have to fix it before launch. It could take a few minutes, it could take hours. They could do some last minute modifications too. Because of all this, they can’t give a precise time. It’s not like launching a rocket…

Patch is probably live within 3-4 hours from now, as most previous patches have generally been.

Update is launching today… that is all we know..

It was just announced in-game to be 10min from now.

the times usually go like this west coast 12 pm noon
eastern 3pm, gmt is like 6 or 7 pm
but it started now as electro says!
