Witch outfit should be armor!
Only if I can wear the rest of my town clothes as armor. Just look at that, that’d be amazing as armor.
In my opinion they should all be armor. :\

I agree town clothes should be armour
Then EVERYONE can wear them and lions arch can be a giant coven. See where i’m going with this?

I agree with this, but not only for the Witch outfit, but for all town clothes, or at least the wide majority of the action type town clothes.
I wish our community would gather around and perhaps start a petition of some sort to reach out to arena net, this is beneficial to them aswell, we are willing to pay gems, perhaps even more than 1000 for something as unique and well designed as themed costumes, just allow them to be skins or even possible to be used in combat.

All town clothes/outfits should be possible to wear as armor; it should just be a cosmetic layer you can wear over your combat/stats armor.
Like in GW1, AoC, TERA, TSW, Rift, etc. etc. etc.
It’s like they (Anet) took something that worked everywhere in most current MMOs and made something that is … useless! Utterly useless!
And there is absolutely no understandable reason why…

They should just let us transmute the town cloth and all outfit with armor so we can use this awesome skin also in combat, would be so great.
And so simple ANet.
I agree too.
I wanted to wear costumes as armors since GW2 release !
Do it Anet , please !
guard ,nades eng ,Trap thief \ranger ,signet\shout warrior, zerk mes\ele & shiro rev.
Yea, come on Anet. We give you money and you disappoint us. I was hoping the reason the costumes were late was because you were ‘fixing’ them to be armour skins. But no.
At least we got the ugly aetherblade junk..right?

You stole me, and I stole you.
I totally agree, the Mad King outfit looks really cool, but not being able to use the armor as armor is a bit disappointing.
To go even further; why stop at making town clothes possible to wear in combat?
Why can’t I take a set of light or medium armor that I like the appearance of and transmute its appearance on my heavy armor that I can wear?
Give us appearance diversity – I get it there’s armor class restrictions, but let people look like whatever they want. If you want a heavy soldier in a trenchcoat, fine; a mage in plated armor, fine, a thief in feathers, go do it
It’s just… this was all present in the last MMO I played (AoC) and when that piece of shambles could get it right with vanity gear, I am flabbergasted (to finally use that funny word) as to why Anet won’t/cannot.
