Hi guys I was wondering if 1st place increases your chance of getting the skin in the race. Reason I ask is because I’ve done over 50 races and not a single skin drop. I have gotten first but I mostly allow people who don’t have it to get it.

If this is affecting my chances I’d like to know. I’ve heard in game that it doesn’t but I would like a for sure answer.

I’m getting really frustrated at having done so many and not getting anything worthwhile.

I came 5th and got a back piece another race I came first and got an exotic. Pretty sure the chances aren’t dependant on which place you finished.

I can speak on this for someone who has come in first for about 40% of my total races. (until I started giving away first.)

I’ve found two back pieces so far and neither one were for a race I came in first at.

In fact, I found one after sitting at the finish line and watching 3 or 4 players pass. I figured it was karma.

First place only gets more Karma and Coins than the other placers.

I dont think so. I’ve only ran 20, came in dead last my first run, and got the back skin from the chest. Think its the wind one. Not on my computer presently, so I cant log in to look.

I got my skin when placed 5th, on my first run.

I was having a conversation with a guy one race about this. I told him I didn’t see any correlation between the two but he still persisted to think it was first place that gave a better chance since his friend got a skin the second time he was first place.

I haven’t heard from friends or seen any drop myself after 70~ races so I think its just purely random. But my RNG luck is pretty bad.

I got a skin, I wasn’t first. Same for my friend.

I also got an exotic and 2-3 rares when I wasn’t first.

not sure if winning has a factor or not, but in like 70 races i’ve gotten 4 skins already (no exotics yet though). And usually RNG screws me over.

I got one for a 10th place finish.

I ended first so many times, just got the Frequent Sprinter for the 4th time as well, and I have never looted a single backpack skin

I’ve done 75 races now and with around 60 of them being 1st place yet I haven’t gotten a single skin.
