I know there is a Kiel vs. Evon thread (I started it :P), but I wanted to point this separately:

The prices drop for keys and waypoints will only last a month, so it won’t matter in the long run at all. I’m an Evon supporter, but if Kiel was offering this and Evon the temporal Waypoints offer I would vote for her!

But Mister Gnashblade is bringing us the FALL OF ABADDON in Fractals!! Who cares about the Thaumanova reactor Kiel is offering? And didn’t we already have a meta event about that? And again, who cares? Abaddon in GW2!! THAT’s a million of leagues cooler! Forget about Kiel and Evon, forget about temporary prices reduction, the fall of Abaddon in fractals!! This has to be the most awesome boss we will see in quite a long time!!

I don’t know if this would be a recreation of Nightfall’s last fight, or the proper “fall” which involves his fight against the other 5 gods and later confinement (which would be completly awesome if we can actually see the gods fighting). This has to happen!! Take your votes now and vote to fight Abaddon!

Well, the Abaddon mission was all about hitting his hitvox without moving away, so pefectly fits the gw2 dragon evens and bossfights.

But otherwise, yeah, i will have to vote for him just because this I hate him but still have to.

For all we know its just gonna be a cutscene or something. Probably accessed directly from the fractals hub. They don’t say it will be a fractal itself.

Vote Kiel, cause cheaper waypoints are always better, and if it turns out to be a cutscene, the reactor will be more interesting.

A rework of that with GW2 mechanics, or better, the real epic fight of a full powered Abaddon against the gods (and I think that’s what they mean with “the fall”) should be really cool.

They clearly say Fractal’s of the mist, not cinema. And all prices reduction are temporal and won’t matter at all in the future. Seeing Abaddon’t fight in GW2, specially the big one that caused the Desolation, would be way better than Thaumanova Reactor that already is in the game… knowing how it was destroyed by the Inquest and what happened there? It has potential… but not as much as what Evon is offering!

Man I saw that and got really excited to replay the gw1 mission, but when you mentioned the proper “fall” I got even more pumped. Fractals is a 5 man dungeon, there were 5 human gods who cast out Abbadon…..see where I’m going? (5 unique transformations, one person per, with cool new? skills for an epic boss battle). If I could become an Avatar of Balthazar and pay homage to my gw1 warrior, that would be amazing.

As for the price reduction, on both accounts, eh. I’d at least see a (minor) passive effect of the waypoints, opposed to just ignoring key purchases (especially with all the free gem store items from the achievement chests, I don’t think I need any BL chest items except the ones with the <1% drop rate).

I hope they give more info on the Thaumanova Reactor. Because as much as I want an Abaddon fight, my moral compass tells me to go for Kiel instead. I’d rather put helping people above making money, we are heroes after-all (I’ll just continue to keep the money I find while helping people).

Practically/logistically I wonder if both are in development (gw2 does now have 4 LS teams working in 1 month shifts) and our votes, just determines which one will come out first (even if its a 2-6 month wait or something).

Voting for Evon so hard! Abaddon! Yes! My favorite part of the whole lore! Who cares about the Thamanova reactor? Boring asura stuff, get out! We want the God of Secrets to reveal his greatest mysteries!
ABADDOOOOOOON!

1) What percentage of players do you think have ever completed ANY dungeon much less has stepped foot in a Fractal? Those that farm them are in a VAST minority in the player base (tho, they may be in a majority on these forums).
2) What percentage of players have used a waypoint?
3) What percentage of players have purchased BLC keys?

Just pointing these out so those that are dungeon obsessed don’t underestimate the power of even a temporary reduction in cash outlay for a much larger player base.
