Didn’t see a thread about this so here goes…

Does anyone have any idea why it’s called the Bazaar of 4 Winds, but there’s only 3 Aspects? Sun, Lightning, Wind?

Unless I’m missing something, this could be an important plot point yet to be revealed…

Kind of hard to have the Wind of Earth.

And an Earth Catcher would just be a shovel.

As i understand, 4 as in 4 directions.

The skills aren’t based on wind, (ok one is) they are based on elements. An Earth skill would have worked for this reason. Not sure why they didn’t do one. The wind aspect comes from the floating city and the people living in the sky etc. Also throws back to past lore in many ways

EDIT: I just realised I used the word aspect at a bad time. What I was saying is that the skills were not based on winds, but the wind part of the title comes from the fact that they fly around in the sky o it refers to the directsion (N,E,S,W) like everyone is saying. The skills are separate in this respect referring to the sun, lightning and clouds all in the sky.

Earth being the 4th would suggest that Sun = Fire, so they could easily change the name of earth to something else, if Earth Catcher sounds weird to you^^

Four wind directions sounds more plausible for an explanation actually. Four Winds may refer to the Bazaar’s ability to travel in any direction of Tyria… which raises the question: How has it not been assaulted by the Elder Dragons or their Lieutenants yet? xD

Its the 4 directional winds. North, east, south and west. They travel all over tyria.

The aspects are not based on the 4 elements of nature – they are based on the 3 elements of the sky, as in Sun, Wind and Lightning. The “4 Winds” thingie, as many said above, refers to… well, the 4 directional winds, obviously.

I believe the Bazaar Of The Four Winds and the Zephire Sanctum are two completely seperate things. And the reason there isn’t an earth aspect is easy. Because the aspects are, as far as I know, magic gathered by the Zepherites from their surroundings. The Zepherites live most of their live in the cloud so the aspects wind, lightning and sun make perfect sense, however earth wouldn’t make any sense.

Yeah the Bazaar is a gathering of merchants, they come from all over Tyria. The Zephire Sanctum is seperate, they have simply come to visit the bazaar.
