People have mentioned it in other threads, but I don’t see a topic specifically for it. As such I’m not even sure Anet is aware of the problem. Could a dev please comment on this?

I have tested this on the Adnul encounter. The player’s health is 10,000 total. When taking a drink (#1) my health goes from 10,000 to 8,000. When drinking water my health goes from 8,000 to 9,000. Unless I’m doing my math wrong, 10% of 10,000 is 1,000 and 20% of 10,000 is 2,000.

  1. states in the tooltip “health loss: 10%” however it is clearly 20%.
  2. states in the tooltip “health recovered: 20%” however it is clearly 10%.
  1. should only “damage” you for 1,000 and #3 should “heal” you for 2,000, however the values are clearly reversed. Either the skills are bugged, or the tooltips are wrong.

Feel free to verify.

I have this issue as well. It makes it more difficult to do this mini-game as it seems Adnul isn’t effected by this error.

This is happening to me to. Anet has to fix this asap. Irongut himself is not that difficult, it just seems to be the ability bug that makes him next to impossible.

It’s more likely a tooltip error, when you think about it. If water did two times as much as a drink then the game would go on for a very long time.
