Hey so i have 2 catcher skins from doing 15 races. How do I add the skin to my starter backpack? I’m level 21 so its the only back item I have. It wont let me attach it and I cant find any other back items to sue it on. Please help cause i would love to use them!

Did you double click on the catcher?
After that you should choose where you want to use it normal (pve) or pvp.
Maybe that step is skipped for this item, I don’t know.
However, it will then open the “transmutation window” and you can drag your back item into that window and it will automatically transmutate it.

If that is not going to happen, it might be that starter back items cannot be transmutated, but I don’t know for sure..

You will get a back item during your personal story and you can buy them for karma at lvl 80. You also could buy a quaggan back item from the TP, because that one already comes with a white back item that you can use to transmutate it on.

This is an option. I just wanted to note make sure you buy the backpack set and not just the cover. Only the set comes with the back strap. I just wanted to point it out because I have seen a few people do this by accident.

But.. as he is just lvl 21, I doubt he will have enough money for the quaggan back item yet?

About 30 Sanctum Sprints between coin drop and selling the loot and he should be set.

Or he could wait till L35 I think there is a spine guard for that level that is around 40 silver or so. I can’t recall the exact price but it’s less than the Quaggan set by a lot.

And you could also buy a back item from the gem store for real cash. These also come with a white back item.
But I think you soon will have a higher level and then you receive one in your lvl 33 personal storyline that you can use for that purpose.

I’m not sure, but from your wording it sounds like you’re talking about trying to put it on the starter backpack as in the 20 slot bag you start with. If that is the case, that isn’t actually a back item that you put skins on. Back items are equipped in your hero panel like other armor.

Yes, make sure it’s not a bag.

Question – you have the back piece equiped? AFAIK, you are not able to transmute equiped items. Try to unequip it and transmute, it should help. If not, I have no idea
