I learned how to do JPs thanks to BoFW Cliff
The thing that has messed me up is going from the Bazaar to the regular areas and thinking I still had those skills. I use shift for my 1 skill and space to jump. There have been many times when I have run up to a ledge and hit 1 LOL.
If anything, BoFW exclusive content just give people a huge confident boost to their jumping skill, it doesn’t really teach much of actual JPs(jump boost and lightning pull is way too OP).

I wouldn’t say jump boost and lightning pull are OP. They are special skills you need to do the events in the Bazaar. You can’t complete them without using them. The traditional jump puzzles you don’t have those skills therefore they don’t offer any benefit.
Well, I can see how it would work that way. Having to do the mapping in WvW got me into playing WvW.
However, I’m horrible at jumping puzzles and this did not make me want to do jp more than I am forced to. I don’t want them to keep requiring jp for the overall achievement. I wouldn’t mind having them as a separate achievement all their own each time though.
I did however, very much enjoy using the aspect skills to travel around in the bazaar area.

Personally, I disagree with this. The most important skill to getting a jumping puzzle done quickly is figuring out how to look at the area itself. The crystals are usually easy enough to spot, but difficult to get to. This, combined with limited uses of the aspects encourages players to start mapping out their routes in their heads before they make their jumps.
I encourage all the players who are not so interested in JPs to go out and try out this content…
Agreed. They aren’t as bad as people make them out to be. Most of the ones that complain about JPs have literally never tried them. Or tried one, fell a few times and quit, then denounce every other JP in the game.
Some of them are seriously easy. There are some that make you want to pull your hair out, sure, but the ones for the BoTFW achievements are easy peasy.
If you’ve played the game and let’s say have jumped across anything, then you can do a JP… usually the hard part is figuring out where to jump to, not necessarily the jumping itself, so saying you suck at jumping isn’t really an excuse not to do the puzzles. Saying you suck at puzzles isn’t really an excuse either because you can look up how to do it.
That said, there are definitely some puzzles that are hard and will test your jumping skills. You’ll know them when you try them, there is no shame in skipping those if you don’t want to complete them.
It’s a medical condition, they say its terminal….
Well, let’s just say after we decide to do learn to kite, one friend’s confident is completely shattered. (he couldn’t jump fast enough on Spekks’s Lab, dodge roll every single time screen shakes on Pig Iron Quarry, spent 15+ min trying to get up in the coliseum in OS, even got blow off by the wind in fractal, and lots facepalm from us) All these happened after we finished lesson from sky and got most achievements(only some of us got 1st place) from racing.
@Rottaran
Can’t speak for everyone, but using old JPs for new achievements means, someone either already done it and know exactly what to do, or will most likely look for a guide because they are doing it for the achievement not the puzzle solving, so figure out what to do isn’t that important for JP anymore.

I was talking mostly about the crystals to be honest. You’re not using jumping per say, but it’s still the general idea of knowing what’s within your power, planning a route, and executing.

I am also horrible at JP’s I do try and try but it can be frustrating .It would be great if they could give us the zepherite skills to use permanently because lighting pull would really help with JP’s
