Last night I had some of the best fun I’ve had playing video games. The strange thing about it is I wasn’t doing any of the regular video game activities like beating other players or grinding gear. I was jumping around the aptly named Labyrinth Cliffs, looking for a whole bunch of worthless crystals.

I still can’t understand why it was so fun. Perhaps the sense of a treasure hunt, exploration, platforming, problem solving, discovery. It was just great.

Thank you to the truly brilliant developers who crafted such a uniquely interesting and unusual challenge.

Just a thank you.

I agree I thought it was great. When I read about it I thought, “Oh crud I hate jump puzzles I’m not going to mess with it.” Once I started doing it and when I got used to how to use the different aspects I found it quite fun. I also enjoyed the scenery and since I got the achievement done I’ve taken some time to find other places to use the aspects and see what I can find. If you really want to see yourself standing in some interesting places hit the jump aspect and at max height hit dash. I found myself in some odd places and sometimes others would see me and ask how in the heck I ended up where I was. Most of the time I would just say I don’t know.

I didn’t do 100% achievements because I opted out of several of the other kites in traditional jump puzzles. I ended up getting really good at Sanctum Sprint so I still have fun with that a few times a day for some extra coin and the occasional loot bag. Plus I have gotten 9 catcher back pieces from the races.

I’ve only been playing for 3 months but this was my favorite update so far. The politics one I’m not going to do much with because of the mini game aspect of it. The sprint was fun but I don’t care for mini games that are more PvP based than that. I’m not complaining though as I have plenty of other stuff to do. That’s the good thing about this game.
