Since there’s going to be the living story update tomorrow, are Kite Fortunes going to be removed from drop tables or will they stay?

BotFW content is remaining until August 6th, which is also when CP ends. This includes the Kite Fortunes.

I’ve noticed they’ve become quite more rare though. I keep getting alot of vote tokens in their stead. Is it intended?

I’ve noticed the same thing Hermes. So I’m wondering if we can still get Kite Fortunes in loot bags or drops. I’ve gotten a number of wooden chests today, but they all contained vote tokens. I’d like to get some official response as to whether they will still drop in the open world or not.

I did manage to get a kite fortune from one basket, but that was after several hours of killing stuff and opening other baskets. I bought some heavy loot bags and did get some kit fortunes that way. So it’s still possible to get them although the chance seems extremely low now. The other day I got quite a few recipes as well; today nothing.

I’ve noticed the same thing. Kite Fortunes seem to no longer drop from monsters. An official response would appreciated.

Well, I have been getting many Kite Fortunes last night after the update from killing mobs so they still drop. Maybe you were just unlucky?

Ayumi … I doubt you were getting “many” kite fortunes since they are not considered a common drop. It’s still possible to get them, but let’s not exaggerate.

I’ve gotten at least 6 kite fortunes today while doing Homeland Support for the candidates. They aren’t gone.

Well, it depends what you consider many. I haven’t used any I got yesterday so I know I got 45 Kite Fortunes. Most of it from a little running around in Orr. The rest I got from leveling a little my low lvl toon.

I would say almost 50 of those in one day is many for me But each to their own, I suppose.

I’m still dropping these – mostly while doing events in Cursed Shore with many many many mobs to kill
but I have another strange thing – actually when I active bonuses from the kites I don’t drop no more kites until these bonuses are up – so I’m not using them while running – I’m doing it only for scraps.

I got super lucky today for the first ever since I have been playing. I needed about 30 fortune scraps to get the new backpack. I had some extra gems so I decided to buy 10 kite fortunes 200 gems). I ended up getting about roughly 80 scraps (one fortune gave me 50) and a gold ticket. So I got both backpacks.
