Finally Finally made it to the very top(Im Avatar Overdrive of SoR) and decided to share some pics of the top. Not much view cause of the invisible wall but still took some tries to get here so enjoy the view. Also a Super huge thx to Assistant Relena because def wouldn’t have made it to to very top without her help. Also want to thank everyone that came especially the Mesmers on SoR for coming to port at different parts.

That’s pretty cool. It took me 3 hours to get to the dive achievement. I think I’ll just look at your pictures to see the rest.

I made it up there, wasn’t really all that difficult. The aspects make climbing fair easy.

WOW u did that in just 4min!!!! Took us hours. i didnt know you could use lighting for some of those jumps. Would have made it alot quicker and easier T_T. But congrats on getting to top as well. Im starting to see more people getting to top now. Wonder what Anet has to say about it :P

We are at the TOP! Yay

There is 2 ways past the hard jump. One is like in the video and the other one is using 1-2 and jump in the opposite corner.

How do you get pass the invisible wall?

Need to get up on the pole and use 3 skill on the other side

If there were a sky crystal or an achievement at the top, there would be a lot of complaints from people who don’t have the patience or the ability to get to the top. My take on it is that the scaffolding was the work of a few developers who are big jumping puzzle enthusiasts, and they wanted to put in a real challenge for like minded players.

The entire area is constructed as a jumping playground after all, so what would be the point if the most ardent jumping puzzlers didn’t have something to shoot for? Puzzling out the path up to the top myself was one of the best experiences I have had in GW2 thus far, and then I find out that my solution isn’t even the only one. Smerec’s video demonstrates a completely different path up the scaffold from mine. I just love it.

tips for those still interested in trying:
- there are 2 jumps that can be done by forward button (w) to a point where you look like you’re going to fall to your death and then leap (while holding w) to the platform above (there are other ways to do it but i found this to be “safest” for some reason)

- best to attempt this in a group where people can revive each other and/or portal each other to avoid time wasted and maybe to be on ventrilo, ts, skype or something to hear each others cry/laugh/rage/such

- bring a mesmer with you if you attempt this or be a mesmer yourself for higher chance of success
