Omnomberry Juice?
I’m pretty sure it’s not because they can’t reference alcohol; considering there are vendors who sell alcohol, and that one heart that makes you drink rum…
That said, I can’t think of a compelling reason for it not to be alcoholic.
In the story, your character doesn’t really want to do it iirc, depicting it as
a non desireable pasttime. Showing binge drinking as funny and rewarding may
conflict with the T for teen rating.

Yes, what is the problem here? There is plenty of alcohol ingame that is clearly named after real world drinks. Why does Omnomberry Juice have to be called Omnomberry Alcoholic Beverage? Or Omnomberry Wine? I don’t get what’s wrong with Omnomberry Juice as a name. They aren’t hiding the fact that it’s a drinking game, where you drink your opponent into intoxication. So again, what is the problem?

As i said the normal alcoholic beverages don’t give a boost in stats or any other
benefits.
No one calls alcohol juice; the implication here is that you aren’t drinking alcohol. You’re having some sort of bizarre juice-drinking contest, which is painfully immature.
Are we all in elementary school? I’m pretty sure the Order of Whispers quest got away with calling it alcohol, so what’s the problem here?
In the personal story you’re only doing it because you’re infiltrating the bad guys, who being bad guys drink booze. In this game you’re going up against friendly traders and other players who, being good guys, would never touch it.
Because when you touch booze you end up blacking out, stealing tanks, driving them around drunk and nearly handing over weapons of mass destruction to the dredge.
Which no hero would ever do.

Who cares. It’s probably just for the title to match. Which, IMO, is pretty funny.

After actually playing, apparently the raw Omnomberry Juice is poison. That does make it much more intriguing.
