Because of the pictures we have and the art, some have theorized that the new zone will be in Maguuma Jungle area. I may have found the possible entrance to the new zone. The bandits are building the bridge so they can sell their goods at the bazaar.

Bandits?Sell goods?They would rather steal it.You could walk to this portal in the beta,but it would just tell you its beta and you can’t go in.Its a zone for sure but I highly doubt its gonna be in this patch

That bridge has been there from day 1. There are multiple zones in the game with possible entrances to new areas.

And like Cappy said, I don’t think Bandits would sell goods in a Bazaar.

Where is this specific bridge?

Yeah, they’d probably go for more of a blackmarket/fence thing than the bazaar. Then again, the typical bandits in this game aren’t terribly bright, so who knows? Lol.

Marnick, the bridge is in Lionshead Outcrops in Brisban Wildlands. The closest waypoints are Gallowfields, Brilitine, or Seraph Observers if you want to check it out yourself.

Like the others have said, I’m not sure if this is where the potential new area will be. It is rather unlikely that the bandits have been working on a bridge to this bazaar solely for our mercantile pleasure. xD

They’ve been there for a very long time. Possibly since launch, but certainly for several months. Out of a number of portals that remain unused I’d figure this is the one leading to any new area in the Maguuma Wastes.

Don’t get too excited.

Those are all over the place.

Sometimes out of reach, sometimes without a transition circle indicator, sometimes covered by a rock, sometimes it’s a closed gate like the gates to the Crystal desert…

I’ve seen at last 20 of those. They been there only means where a new area could be, but not that a new area will be in the near future.

Yeh, i’m probably wrong, and i know there are many unused portals. But the pictures (like others have suggested in other threads) looks like a maguuma jungle area. I think it most likely will be in sea of sorrows area but who knows. It does make sense though for bandits to sell their stolen goods at the bazaar. Free money for them.

If we are just guessing, I would say the tengu area from LA looks like a good candidate.

Yep, many of those zone-portals have been around since day 1 of GW2. Even in GW1, there were plenty.

When creating a map, usually you forget you placed a zone-portal spot. Or it is too tedious to remove it and place an art there, then later clean up again. The easiest way is, like that screenshot, destroy the bridge.

Now if someone was able to cross, bug or not, that zone-portal is dead anyway, it won’t trigger a rezoning script to put you into whatever zone it is connected to. However, if that is indeed connected to a different zone, which probably it is, otherwise they wouldn’t place that there (but later decided to add it as part of some new content), then congratulations :p

It doesn’t send you anywhere.

New zone is entered the same way as the Southsun Cove. However, this finding is really nice, I think they put this there because they have plans to open maguuma jungle/wastes for us to explore in future expansions
