And I know there has already been data mining on this event because of this list of 150 new icons, revealing the Zenith Weapons and new Armor Pieces icons, new icons for achievement tabs and what looks like Basketball skills:

I tried to look in reddit but I couldn’t find the weapon codes…

Does anyone know if they’ve been discovered yet? It would be nice to preview them and start getting excited about them…

Those weapons look awesome. I love me some crystalline weapons, and the coloring in particular is really neat.

I hope the torch has a crystalline look as well, because my Guardian has a crystal (including ice) theme for her weapons and I’ve yet to find a torch that fits that look properly. All the usual weapon sets (Verdant, Warden, Priory, Corrupted, Kodan) all have barely any crystal / ice at all as far as the Torch of each set. Been thinking I’d have to settle with either the Beaded Torch or the Ebon Vanguard / Lionguard torches just because they kind of have some crystal-like bits on them (gems / glass), but if the torch of the Zenith set looks like the shield / sword / staff in those pictures then it would be a much better fit.

As for the weapon codes… they probably won’t be added until the patch itself if they haven’t been added already. Its very possible they added the icons but not the actual weapon models, they don’t nessicarily add everything all at the same time.

That doesn’t necessarily mean quartz won’t have anything to do with it, I wish people would stop making assumptions as though they know how the reward system will exactly work.

I can wait for the codes for zenith weapons, they do look cool though

Quartz is the reward for completing the meta. Skins come day 1 of Achievement Point update. They are seperate. That was not an assumption, as he said, you need to read carefully.

Anyway can’t wait!

Quartz is for the new recipes… Maybe We need 250 Quartz for ascended weapons?

There probably are folks who know exactly how the reward system will work. These folks being playtesters, presuming ArenaNet has kept player testers after development of the initial game at least.

Anyways, as xCrusadentx.2784 said, the achievement rewards is just one aspect of the update, while the quartz is most likely to be akin to the Azurite Crystal/Orbs, which were limited-time, though one’s able to get one for their home instance. Think on it: would ArenaNet be so stupid as to limit achievement rewards which will be permanent to something available for only a limited time?

Anet has done some dumb decisions merchandising-wise, but that’d be an all-time high of stupid, and I doubt that they’d be doing such.

Personal Quartz Node
Once you complete the meta achievement for this release, your home instance will have a daily resource node, allowing you to harvest Quartz at your leisure . Quartz is a new material being introduced in this release and will be used to craft new recipes!

However that doesn’t mean they can’t also have quartz nodes or change the loot tables so you can harvest quartz from regular nodes ingame for all to use. Just that people with the meta achievement have a personal node.

use a finite resourvce that can be sold… Every player that complete the ach. can acces and sold the new resource. New players only can buy the new resource or maybe enter to the friend personal instance.
