Zephyr Sanctum Model low quality
I noticed that as well.. When I clicked on one in LA, I was like “Wtf?” because the video quality of what could be a gorgeous cinematic was just downright ugly.

Same for me. But I see huge fps drop on this movie.
In my opinion. My only disappointment from this patch.
quality is low res..wow
and if this all it does, im gna throw it in the garbage because i have no room for useless trinkets such as marjory’s notebook thing. Seriously, put a deposit slot for this or something
Yea, the cinematic is REALLY low quality. Why don’t they just make the model zephyr sanctum place a camera inside of the zone itself instead of this ugly and blurry cinematic…
i was really surprised and found it strange no one seemed to be mentioning it, thought it might’ve just been me. It really does look bad, especially the transitions.
I wish it played the music from the Bazaar map, really love that music and it would be great to hear it play during the cinematic. I agree the cinematic was surprisingly low resolution, and shorter than I expected it to be.
That being said I do enjoy this item and the concept behind it, a memento is nice. (It has the feeling of a ship in a bottle and as you look closer you can see the ship has a tiny crew who don’t even know they are in a bottle.) The Bazaar map is visually stunning and I will miss it when it is over.

I kind of expected it to show the same cinematic as when a character first approaches the sanctum. What I got was a bit disappointing.
Don’t get me wrong, I like it. It’s just… not as good as you’d expect.
delicate, brick-like subtlety.
Feels like a placeholder cinematic they forgot to change.
I have to agree here, I love the idea but the quality is just bad with framerate issues also.
Anet seems to have been cheapening out on cinematic lately by pre rendering them. The noir cinematic is the same way. Unfortunately if your like me and you run 1080p on a 32 inch display, you notice the bad artifacts and low quality from badly compressed 720p video streams vs the games realtime scenes.
Whe the actual thing rendered in real time on the players’ contemporary machines looks far better than a pre-rendered video, you know something is deeply wrong.
Wow..now I feel like I wasted my time finding 25 of those annoying sky crystals. No more of that.
Feels like my fps goes from about 90 to 15 when I play this cinematic.
I do hope they’ll fix this…
Seems to me like it got rendered at a really low resolution basically. It kind of looks like the game when I have it set to sub-sample.
Huh… so it wasn’t just me then. Yeah, I noticed the quality was somewhat less than expected.
This would be a nice thing to be able to place in our home instance and see a decent sized hologram of the ship floating above it. Like a decoration, you know?
It may be more noticable since I run best performance, but the cinematic that this model gives is of a really low quality.
It takes away from the beauty that the cinematic is supposed to show.
Eh? I’m surprised you complain about this, yet you don’t mind the initial view of the Zephyr Sanctum, as they are the exact same. All the model does is allow us to review it, and so, rather than grumbling about the model that perfectly fulfills its purpose, the topic would be better suited to address the cinematics of the Zephyr Sanctum itself.
