You give us an event with, in my opinion, difficult but good achievements, * maybe a slight nerf for one but not for me * but with limited time so many could not complete them leave us with wounds! Now you try to show us all this new stuff with achievements reminding us of our agony, rubbing salt in it! You try to hide our failures with this new UI! But I will remember… that one achievement… it will be the kitten ed Sword of Damocles that will hang above your heads!

You have broken my perfect chain of achievements with these one time events, a single link shattered, with a thousand bladed talons now descending upon you!! Screams of the dying will fill the air! A symphony of terror is about to begin!!

In all a seriousness I am unhappy with how these events continue to be handled not addressed on the spot but rather only a foot note for the next event. I also don’t like that our failed achievements are hidden as if it suppose to make us ignore the fact. :[

It’s not hidden, they’re just in another tab, but you’re right, this “living story” thing is starting to be anoying. More permament content would be nice.
At least you can beat BotFW in about 6-8 hours if you count the sprint anticipation

It’s okay, all my events are 100%, the only thing I dislike is that the infinite achievement will ruin my 100% streak. WHYYYYYY!

But anywho, I think people would be more ticked off if the failed achievements weren’t locked away not to look at. If they were out in the open I think it’d be rubbing it in more.

This has already happened to people and posted about it. Think someone had 2 more to go and server rebooted for patch. I doubt they will forget about it simply because they tried to hide it.

I won’t forget because I spent from 3-4pm est to 4ish am est for the Captain and dropped money to gear myself towards that fight. I slept 3 hours that night and yes I choose to because I already committed on top of it we did it in 14 mins but the event bugged. Never got it under 15 again :/ I even help teach a group on how to do it and we were doing well but reclearing everytime for a failure is exhuasting for people. We practiced awhile after a failed match too just to help save time and then went for real attempts. I am proud of them even though we did not make it.

That a very difficult achievement compared to the others in this game had limited time to complete and it was group reliant which makes it even harder. Not all of us are social hogs with a bijillions friends who do our will at our beck and call.

Being the dungeon is a hole in a wall UNDER a waterfall, I cannot see why they just didn’t extend the use of the instance. Not like it was the Flaming Screaming Brimstone Fortress of Chaos dropped down in the middle of a farm field for all to see!

I looked at the new UI for the first time last night and I thought the ones I didn’t acheive had been removed. It would be nice to have the option of seeing completed and uncompleted together especially when you’re looking at living story type events. I think I read somewhere that the 8-bit gamesbox would return at some point so it would be nice to see all of those together with the bits I need to complete (especially now there are rewards for achievements – thank you Anet for that).

I’m sure some stuff is lost for good as no doubt a lot of the living story will not be repeated but does it really matter if there’s going to be a load of new content every fortnight? It is tough on the casual who gets something to 90%+ and then can’t complete. It would be a nice gesture if that time & effort could be rewarded – maybe converted into a discount for one of the next acheivements?
