Reminds me of the Maguuma in GW1.

[Edit: Check the holes in the rock face above the green-light tent. GW1 Maguuma ‘Jungle’ was riddled with those. I’m going to bet this is in fact in the Maguuma Wastes.]

The Gallowfields in Brisban Wildlands is full of those holes.

Which is near Fort Vandal which obviously means that the Bazaar is how the bandits sell all their stolen goods.

Will be interesting to find out. I also noticed that the architectural style isn’t terribly familiar to me from anything I can recall from GW2 to date. Maybe a couple more things from different places that are similar in GW1 (bits of Elona and Cantha I think), but… it’s hard to say.

It’ll be interesting to learn what this bazaar is and where it came from.

Yea I wasn’t certain about the one not wearing that armor (bit small on my phone). The first one I saw was the armored one.
Btw, we know that it’s accessible from LA. Which the dominion is. East of the map, where the road ends. That gate leads to the dominion.

Thats also not the Dominion of Winds. Dominion of winds would block off garrenhoff if that was the case and it wouldnt fit the the shape in the books or the fact that the wall bends southwards below kessex hills. I feel its more of the tengu just blocking it off because they dont want people there (extending their territory). But its not the actual dominion of winds.

Yeah pretty sure it’s Maguuma Wastes. There’s a bridge in Maguuma Jungle that is broken and on the other side is a portal to another zone, so most likely this zone they have been working on. ArenaNet probably plan far ahead.

Could be Magus Falls though. Next to Rata Sum.

I sure hope not, as I got a character slot reserved specifically for a tengu thief I’d hate to see go to waste.

Honestly I only see two charr…..oh and a human or two.

actually when you speak with a tengu they say they come from the city of winds of something like that so maybe the bazar its locate on the tengus city

2 charr 1 human, and possibly another human bottom left (just a head). No tengu.

Judging from that Id say the Zephyr Sanctum moves around. For all we know it could be a giant floating rock like we see in the Maguuma Jungle. I dont however think it has to do with the tengu as we really havent seen much if any tengu and tengu themes in the preview.

Further, its unlikely that the tengu would hold a bazaar in their lands since they have not let anyone in in centuries. They arent likely to suddenly hold a market in their lands, particularly without heavy guard. If this is something that isnt completely new I find myself thinking they look more like Luxon designs (Luxons had those huge land ships powered by Jade from the Jade sea and they were nomadic) or some type of elemental race like the Djinn (though we havent seen anything indicating a new race).

No doubt all the style in that pic is Canthan for sure!

There are charr and humans in that picture, so i don’t think it’s the dominions of winds because the tengu do not allow other races inside the walls. It might tie into the dominion of winds later though, mabye it’s just a “1st step.”

I agree. Tengu are supposed to be based on the Japanese culture, right?
It is a common misconception, but the orb-like lanterns are typically Chinese. Japan have some traditional paper lanterns too, of course, but the round ones are not typically from Japan. Cantha was widely based on China, even though it had some of other cultures of Asia mixed together, so it would make sense for these lanterns to be Canthan and not Tengu.
Not that the devs would necessarily make that distinction, of course.
