2nd account for trading, ban-prone?
Pet project: Outfit overhaul.
Plenty of people have two accounts. As long you don’t start using third party stuff then you have nothing to worry about. Put your gold through a personal guild too.
Would you like some hard cheeze with your sad whine?
Make a statement in an email between the accounts about what you are doing if is a substantial amount of money being sent. Otherwise, even if one or both accounts get banned, you can prove ownership by contacting support and get them back. After that it should be on your records.
I sent 80g to a lvl 1 account and played tp with it up to around 350g. Still lvl 1-6 and not banned.
I used the current opportunity to buy a 2nd GW2 copy exclusively for trading. Yep, I’m one of those freaks who enjoy playing an smurf sized Gordon Gecko rip-off. ^^ I’d like to normally play my main account and stalk the TP on the second TFT. Or trade on my laptop.
Now I’m afraid ANet’s famous trigger-happy heuristics might cause that trade account to get banhammered to oblivion for being a suspected bot. If there are TP bots at all. I’ve read of cases where, e.g., collecting gold for a friend just starting ended with accounts closed for gold selling. And level 2 char on mute client with low resolution and min details camping the trading post all his existence might appear suspicious.
So my question is, can I risk using an account for playing “Gold Wars 2” only? Or will ANet suspect a bot, goldseller or whatnot behind it, close the account and virtually bankrupt me?
I’ve done a variant of this with multiple accounts. Keep in mind that the new account will be unable to send back anything of value for a while (at least a month) — I was limited both for gold (not surprising) and IIRC for exotic items (I bought a lot of exotics when ascended armor crafting came out and they were cheap).
None of this was a problem for me, but be aware that it might be a while till you can send money back from your second account.
