Quick question. If I leave the golem in my mail, will the 2 week counter not start until I do?

Isn’t the banker one-use only?

I believe that the golem banker doesn’t start counting down until you use it the first time. Leaving it in mail would work.

Imagine if they came out with an unlimited banker golem…

Is the “Deluxe Stuff” and “Heroic Stuff” account wide?

In other words, will all my characters receive ingame e-mails with the items or will only the first character I log in with receive the e-mails? (I followed the wiki links but the information there wasn’t very clear: it just states “Items will be delivered to you at your next log-in” or “item will be sent to the player via the in-game mail system”).

All characters get the mail with the banker attached.

Edit: the mini, tome, etc are all one time things.

The bag is a one time thing. The Mistfire Wolf Elite Skill is account bound however, so all your current characters and future characters will have it (new characters need to be at least level 30 for it to unlock). But the skill is really bad and only really used while levelling. This is a good thing though. If the skill was actually good then it would be pay-to-win.

The bag is a one time thing. The Mistfire Wolf Elite Skill is account bound however, so all your current characters and future characters will have it (new characters need to be at least level 30 for it to unlock). But the skill is really bad and only really used while levelling. This is a good thing though. If the skill was actually good then it would be pay-to-win.

Also, thinking about it, having the bag be an “account wide thing” would also be exploitable: create new toon, get bag, place bag in bank, delete toon, logon with other toon, retrieve bag, rinse and repeat until all toons have 4 18-slot bags…

Notice how nobody is actually forcing you to buy any of these things. They exist for people that want them. You are in no way obligated to buy them.

I still wish they’d add the “Heroic Stuff” for those of us who got the CE.

yes it is good for key runners, start toon, take armour and weapons out with golem. run through, put key and armour straight back. delete.. rinse and repeat.

cuts a good few minutes of each run.

No. Because with every purchase I compare if – for me – the price is worth it or not.
Just take in mind, that every item may get a discount. On that information I decide if I purchase something or not.

F.e. currently I’m waiting for a char slot sale. Currently I don’t need a char slot for 800 gems, but once it will get on sale, I’ll grab one, to have it just in case.

It was supposed to grant Rank Points. However, it was found to be granting Glory, which is being removed, and activating the Chalice has been temporarily disabled while it is corrected to properly grant Rank Points as intended.

Please give them a bit of time to make the adjustment so when you can use it you will get what it was described as giving.

I just got the Digital Deluxe Upgrade and couldn’t figure out why the chalice wasn’t working… now I know why LoL.

File a ticket with support and explain that you used the chalice and got Glory instead of Rank Points before it was locked to get fixed. A support response was posted stating that a “replacement item” would be sent in the mail in-game to players who used the chalice prior to them getting locked from use.

Not sure why people are kittening about the Mistfire wolf skill. It’s better than having nothing while you acquire skill points. You don’t need skill points to unlock it, just meeting the level requirement makes it available.

edit: So what about the temporary price cut? It brings in users and isn’t new to the world of marketing. Should have waited to buy it. I paid the full 80 in the beginning, but I’m not kitten.

Sucks for you buddy. I got glory and I used it to get a couple of armor pieces I was missing. Sucks to be you.
1. The glory NPC are still up.
2. 5000 glory is infinitely more useful than 5000 rank points. 5000 rank points is nothing and can be gotten in 5 teamQ. 5000/200 is 25 chest for skins that are hard to get in PvE and even in the new PvP system.

• Not useable everywhere
• Not as effective as you can be with else
• Looks crap – compared to original concept

I could never justify 2000 gems for the digital deluxe, but for 1000 gems I went for it.. because I just did a stint of key farming for 3 tormented weapons, and I had gotten a heroic chest with primeval armor due to an … account thing awhile back.. so I liked to use the level 1 primeval set when key farming (along with a level 0 sword and warhorn) but had to grab it from the bank.. so the golem will be useful for that indefinitely as new Black Lion Chest skins come out.

Realize that the krytan/profane/primeval sets cost 500 gems to get themselves, and this upgrade comes with one.. so really it’s 500 gems for the other items.

Only thing though.. what the heck do we do with the Chalice of Glory now? Will it ever be useful for something?

Yes, in fact, you will. If people would read the item on the gemstore, it specifically states it includes all items from the GW2 HEROIC EDITION. That being said, I now have a skin set of profane armor AND primeval.

And the mistfire wolf elite is an account-wide unlock.

The chalice of glory is temporarily disabled until anet figures out how to make sure it gives the pvp RANK boost like intended, instead of the glory boost after glory was removed.

I believe it has gone on sale twice since the sale this thread was notifying of 5 months ago. This was a 50% off, another was also a 50% off, and I cannot recall if the most recent was 50% as well or 25/30% off.

If they stay true to their recent history, I think you can expect it on sale again some time within the next 30-45 days considering they seem to be placing it on sale about every 2 months.

That’s my thought on the matter anyway.
Purely guessing though.
I’m considering picking it up when it is on sale next as well.

I’m also waiting for the Mask of the Wanderer to go on sale to finally buy it. As I personally don’t think it is worth 500 gems for what it is, I will only buy it if it is on sale, thus closer to what I consider a more appropriate price for it.

That being said, you missed it when it went on sale a few weeks ago.

That sale was only for copies purchased through the website, not through the gem store.
There were players asking why the gem store Digital Deluxe Upgrade was not also on sale.

• Offer applies only to Digital Heroic Edition and Digital Deluxe Edition purchased through buy.guildwars2.com

The in-game sale on the Digital Deluxe Upgrade had occurred prior to that website sale on the DDE.

Also, the website Digital Deluxe Edition is its own version of the game with its own serial code and not an upgrade to an existing account like the in-game Digital Deluxe Upgrade is. Buying the DDE from the website is an entirely new account/serial and the gem store DDU is an upgrade to an existing account.

I’m not sure if Taygus desires an additional copy of the game or not, but they likely are wanting the Upgrade version to be on sale and not the new account DDE version.

I also expect the in-game gem store DDU sale to return before the website sale does on the DDE.

Now, with that being said, Taygus, you may want to post in the the following thread to make your desire for the DDU to be placed on sale known to ArenaNet. They watch it.
