The latest Black Lion consumable Upgrade Extractor being a very useful consumable,especially when one goes for a change of build,is currently less worth for the money at a cost of 270 Gems.Not even a single upgrade(Sigils and Runes) is worth of being extracted at such a cost.The current exchange rate for 270 Gems is around 18g-20g,while the most expensive rune costs about 10g-12g and sigil ,10g.
The upgrade extractor is clearly not worth for a single use , but if it is given a charge of 6 uses makes the purchase and use of the item justifiable. Even a raise of the cost to 500gems will be reasonable with multiple use charge while maintaining the item account bound.I think such a change will increase sales of the item too.

Agreed, it is way overpriced for single use.

Even so, at 250gems (nearly £3) for the ability to swap out 1 upgrade from 1 piece of equipment, that isn’t at all encouraging to try out new builds.

Maybe we’ll see some of these become needed in fractals, maybe some new “upgradeable-stats-infusions” will come.
But currently you’re right, it’s not worth considering.

I didn’t think about Agony infusion when I posted this topic.Well peter is right, the only upgrade worth to be extracted with upgrade extractor is Agony Infusion.But again you can’t extract them each time you need to combine to make the next level infusion.It is better to wait till you get a useful level of the Agony Infusion and then combine with equipment rather than using "upgrade extractor’ each time.
And peter ,about the scaling of Agony Infusion, it is way beyond insane.

Versatile Infusions could also easily cost you beyond 100 gold.
I would also rather pay 20g to transfer my Utility Infusion instead of paying 20 Laurels for new one.
