I just hit 80 on my guardian and I started looking into suiting him up and realized that I may start needing some gold.

I wondering if making and trying to sell something like an Aether is worth it.

I’m trying to figure out what the thing is actually worth once you put it all together, but I’m not very good it. I figured because it used things like skill points to create, it might net a decent profit.

I would suggest to just run dungeons. Try and find a dungeon running guild on your server (so you don’t get yelled at for being inexperienced and/or dying for being undergeared) and proceed to gear up that way. It’s a slow method but you can strategize your needed dungeons to get your appropriate gear. Just start by figuring out what stats you want then figure out what dungeons have them.

You can also do Karma, but that’s somewhat expensive for new 80s and also requires timing via your worlds temples.

I wouldn’t suggest making and selling something like Aether. If someone wants a skin like that, they are more likely to make it themselves since it’s cheaper that way.

As Esplen suggested, doing dungeons is the best way for a new player to get gear, through either dungeon tokens or the gold you’d make.

Thanks for your help guys. I think you’re right, I was looking for a short cut where they don’t really exists. I need to start running some dungeons.
