Aetherized skins and Price change
There wont be any tickets for sale on the TP unless someone buys keys in the store because T4 is unfarmable. Then unlike Halloween skins Aetherized skins are quite ugly IMHO. Perhaps most people have outright realized that key sales is a scam and have stopped buying keys. This would be great for it would force Anet to rethink their business model.
Prices will rise but not by much because demand for Aetherized skins is way lower then it is for the Halloween ones.
The Halloween skins are more expensive because they were awesome in addition to being rare. Some of the Aetherblade skins are cool, but I don’t know that they’re going to be worth hundreds of gold to anyone especially since new weapon skins come out every month or so. The only one people really seemed to want was the rapier, which wasn’t even included in the set and the most popular weapon, GS, has arguably the worst skin of them all (as opposed Halloween).
Those who wanted them (and could afford them) already bought them.

Maybe, but I know some people who want them, but they don´t have enough gold yet. So they will buy in a few days/weeks and then, there will be less skins and price will rise.

Whether the prices rise depends on demand as well as supply and there are 2 big factors here. One is many people think they are ugly. The second is they will undoubtably release new skins. Those will be the new shiny and the older weapons will be only of interest to a few. The two factors will probably keep prices from rising much.
Others here have stated the reasons why I believe prices will actually DROP in the coming months. First, aside from the Pistol (and maybe the Rifle and Spear), most of the Aetherized weapons are generally considered to be unappealing by the wider player base. That alone will cut down demand by a massive percentage.
Second, as Astral mentioned, new skins tend to be most popular in the first month or two after their initial release, after which the novelty wears off and everybody’s moved on to the next big thing. There’s no information from ANet as to whether the Aetherized weapon skins will disappear permanently down the line, but given that they simply announced that the price will jump to 5 BL tickets, I’m inclined to believe that the skins will be available for a while yet. Possibly even permanently.
If that’s the case, once people realise that the Aetherized skins can be gotten at any time they want (figuratively speaking, since you still need to get lucky from BLC’s), then you can expect prices for them to tumble. A lot.
So, in short, if you’re thinking about buying Aetherized skins/weapons as investments, I’d do so very cautiously. There’s a very high risk of getting burned on them.

I think you are correct, that you will be able to purchase Aetherized skins for tickets/scraps long after the event ends. The only change is, that you need to be 5 times as Lucky!
The math is simple, that with current chance of getting tickets/scraps you be looking at around 150 gold (1/5 chest giving a scrap. My own experience tells the same atleast with 2 skins @ 110 chests opened).
You are telling me, that people will be equally, if not more, inclined to go for the skins via BLC gamling, and not just buy of TP, when that route just got 5 times as expensive?
No… Any demand for these skin will be directed ONLY at the TP, and demand does not drop the Price, especially when near no supply will be coming in.
That everything but pistol looks like crap is (while i agree) an individual opinion.

Yeah, I know the price of the skins increases five-fold after the next update, but in my experience, a lot of the value in rare skins lies in their exclusivity. During the early stages when a new skin is introduced, speculators drive up the price in anticipation of prices increasing when supply dries up.
However, if the Aetherized skins are here to stay permanently, then supply will never dry up entirely. Sure, the number of people who actually mass buy BLC’s will still be low (and no doubt cause a lot of unhappiness for players), but between that and the fact that players will likely “move on” in a few months means that demand for the Aetherized skins is more likely to decrease rather than increase. (I’ll grant that there’s a possibility that prices may increase for a few months after the ticket increase though, depending on how the market reacts to it.)
What’s more, I wouldn’t rule out the possibility of ANet having a “weapons sale” in the future where Aetherized skins (and possibly other weapons) get reduced back to one ticket, perhaps around Wintersday or Black Friday.
Supply coming from BLC’s are a non-factor in this. Even if they go “weapon sale”, you are still looking at dropping 150 gold in to keys….
The only supply worth thinking about is what speculators have stocked up, and for most skins I dont really think that is alot.
As you say, most are widely considered ugly. Speculators note this aswell, and wont touch it with such a high initial cost. Prices now are purely based on the “new and shiny” factor, but when that wears off, all you have is semi-rarity and “wow it’s awesome”.
Sure you have the rookie speculators thinking everything new will increase in Price, but they usually dont have 1000’s of gold needed to flood this skin market to the point of undercuttings in to oblivion.
So I think that overall the prices right now are fair, will drop slightly over the Next week or 2, then rise very slowly. With the exception of pistol +… The only great skin, and the pricing and quantites on TP so far have been…. weird.

Some people won´t buy them, because they think aetherized skins are ugly, but other people think otherwise. I like and I have bought hammer, rifle and shield.
Remember that suppy is very little and that means that it isn´t necessary a big demand to rise prices.

Aetherized as an Investment opportunity, no. Investing would mean it increasing in Price over the next X weeks/months . And, Again maybe except the pistol, that is either not going to happen, or be so small that fee’s would barely be covered.

1) BLC tickets will not influence the future Pricing / Quantity of Aetherized skins. ->
2) -> so Price will not tumble A lot, as they allready represent a certain value to the seller. And new supply isn’t coming in, other than the few sad investors WHO did put Money in these. (And they’re not interested in dumping the Price either, but rather release slowly)

I thought the above made it fairly clear i wasn’t looking to invest.
What I am getting at is, that I dont see the price crashing from where they are now, in such a big way as you guys advertise.
one key difference from SAB is the way you get them.
Everyone who wanted a SAB skin, farmed a few baubles, and were done with it, even stockpilling for alts. So the many many many investors that bought skins to unload later at a profit, had noone to sell to other than new players.
You can’t farm for Aetherized skins in the same way.
Stock is low, some people like them and “no” new stock is coming in.

Point is after the event it stop going up and actually drop in price a bit. No one seemed to buying it and supply is keeping at a constant.
It is only worth investing if you meant to keep it for years. Or you dump it immediately when price is at it’s peak(usually right after the event end).
That being said, dont’ take my word for it. I don’t want to be responsible for any of your investment. I personally invested in 4 atherized skin, didn’t invest in more since it is kind of risky.

Low supply items like monocle and ff dyes go up faster after event. High supply items like sab skins go down.
However, these skins may be low supply but imo they are too atrociously ugly to rise, especially given they are never actually going away (= no prestige and less limited supply). I just don’t see there being any demand, and feel like speculation is the only thing keeping prices high right now.
It’s still possible I’m wrong, but way too risky for me to invest any gold in.

Now they are 5 times harder to get, their price will significantly increase on the desirable skins (pistol & rifle look ace, hammer possibly).
Halloween skins are set to violently crash in value as Halloween is coming back round and Anet will be reusing content they have already put considerable effort into and their monetisation of GW2 reaches maturity.
