I don’t think I will be buying these again. Mainly because if I used them at low level, I would have to shell out another 10$ (or whatever amount of gold 800 gems would be at the time) again. I only bought one because I liked the skin, and tested it out on the helmet part (medium aetherblade), to see if I could use it with a transmute stone – which I couldn’t.

I would like to see this changed so that we can use transmute stones on them… make it so that it uses the level 80 stones if you need to… or have it charge gold (or a gem or two) for the change. >.>

I doubt Anet will change this because they would loose money… but then again, I think it would force them to have to put up new skins more often… which would be a good thing.

Ah … you do know you can move that armor skin to another set with transmutation stones/crystals right?

I was able to transmute my armor skins I bought from the gem store, no problem. I put it on a low level character and transmuted all the way to her level 80 armor. It is set up to be transmuted. Maybe you hit a bug.

Sounds like you didn’t notice that you need transmute CRYSTALS for lvl 80 transmuting. Transmute STONES only work on lvl 79 and below gear.

Stones = 79 & lower
Crystals = level 80 only

Additionally, you have to place the skin on an item before you can use a transmutation stone/crystal on it.

i.e. The skin functions as a transmutation stone/crystal itself on first use.

It has to be double clicked and bound to an item before a stone or crystal will work on it.
