BLTP App/outside of game access
Seems like a great idea to me, in fact I’d even pay real world money for such an app.
I think it’s a pretty good idea. Even just a desktop app would be great. I have a laptop I carry around everywhere. It’s not good enough to handle the game well but I would love to access to stuff like the TP on it if nothing else. I know it takes quite a bit to get a standalone app developed but, hey, it’s worth throwing the idea out there. I’d pay for it if it were reasonably priced.
Yeah I’d roll this APP, but I cant help but wonder if it would wreck the game and destroy the margins at the BLTP, also allow for Trading psot botting, which could be horrendous.
I’m not so sure it would be quite as much work as some folk imagine – though there will be quite a lot on the secuity side, I imagine.
Just in case folks posting here aren’t aware, the BLTP is implemented as a web service, and it is this that http://www.gw2spidy.com uses to present data for pricing already.
There already is an app that does this, just an unofficial one. I have it on android, it is called “GW2 Trading Post”.
And one I wrote for iPhone (shameless plug, yes) called iQuaggan.
And gw2spidy.com for web browsers, since my app and the Android app use his database/API.
