80g for 617 gems its not good for this game, maybe a net shall do a stable price for gems.

You might try posting your suggestion over in the BLTC sub-forum, as this would not be a ‘bug’.

Good luck.

It seems great for the game. I can work an extra hour a week at my job and support the game and get 80g. Much better than buying from gold sellers, brings money to the game, and lets me purchase things I want.

I’m not seeing the downside here.

No, it’s only bad for you. For people who sell gems for gold, it’s great.

It goes both ways.

a net shall do a stable price for gems.

To the best of my knowledge, it’s been stable since launch, $10 US for 800 gems.

You misunderstand the point of the gem exchange. It’s supposed to create a situation where your average player values his real life dollars the same as his gold in so far as how many gems it will get him. The price of gems in gold will only continue to increase until it reaches an equilibrium where players are buying as many gems with real money and converting it to gold as there are buying gems with gold. The ever rising price of gems in gold is the slow march towards this equilibrium.

The gold to gem conversion was never meant to be the primary way for players to obtain gem shop items.

Personally, I’ve never converted any gold to gems. Whenever I’ve wanted something in the gem shop, I’ve put down real money. I’ve also never converted any gems to gold, and I probably won’t consider putting down real money to buy gold until the rate becomes much higher, probably something like 800 gems for 1000g (which would mean it would cost like 1150g to buy 800 gems, but the equilibrium might be achieved much before it gets to those levels).
